What they sell:
This is an official Games Workshop store. The primary focus is on miniatures based wargaming. They have pretty much everything you could need in regards to Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer Age of Sigmar. If they don't have what you need in stock they can order it and it should get to the store within a week. That being said, they only sell Games Workshop products. So that means you won't see any Magic the Gathering, Ticket to Ride, Cards Against Humanity, or and other games here you'd expect to see at a game shop.
The community:
The community that plays games here is diverse in age. There are people as as young as 8 years old, middle school kids, highschool, kids, college students, and people who've grown up, settled into a career, and raised some kids of their own to plays games here.
The venue:
There is no public restroom. There isn't a lot of tablespace, unfortunately. They maintain a space for around 8 to 10 people to work on building and painting miniatures as well as providing two 4x4 tables outfitted with terrain for wargames to be played. Because of the limited table space, they maintain a policy of limiting games to 1500 points per player maximum. They also have three 2x4 tables set up for running demos for people not sure if they are interested in the games, or to just show people how the games play. While people are there, they can get cans of soda for a dollar each, or bottles of water for free. This is a wonderful amenity, when you are locked in concentration while painting a miniature tryanasanuarus or surveying the battlefield looking for your next winning move.
Scheduled events:
In regards to structured events, parties are thrown in the event of big new releases. On Thursdays, Warhammer 40,000 is the focus. On Friday, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, take precedence. Soon, a campaign is going to start for Age of Sigmar, which the store will run on Fridays.

Read moreFirst of all, the hours are very inconsistent. The manager, while I’m not going to say she isn’t nice, does not know how to handle multiple customers well. Many times my fiancé and I go in she either flat out doesn’t acknowledge our existence, or it is several minutes before we get a quick greeting. Maybe if there was more staff with different areas of expertise it might make the experience a touch more enjoyable. As it stands, I would rather either order from online or go to another store. We have already spoke to corporate about this as it has happened multiple times. I also have a very hard with all the 5 star reviews as I don’t believe those to be factual and based on...
Read moreI recently went by the Warhammer hobby store with my 7 year old son. He LOVED it! We were met by a knowledgable and friendly young lady who took the time to walk us a round the store and explained all of the many Warhammer 40k and Warhammer genre models one can purchase and build. She took the time to explain things only a 7 year old boy would ask and we ended up buying several squads of Space Marines and the beginner paint kit. It was a wonderful experience for me and my son and we will be back so she can teach us how to play the game!
Wonderful experience with wonderful staff. Made...
