Five Below — Attraction in Shreveport

Fun place for family shopping. My kids love it, wife loves it and I love that the total isn't hundreds of dollars at the register. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the employees, particularly in the last hour before closing. The startling yelling out across the store a countdown until closing is uncomfortable, unprofessional, unwelcoming and obnoxious practice that will make my family of 8 avoid ending our family days out shopping there if it's near an hour until closing time. "60 minutes until close!!!" "45 til close!" "30 minutes until closing!!!" "20 minutes until closing!!!" "15 minutes!!!" "10 minutes!!!" (Still 12 minutes left) got their wish and got us out of the store 10 minutes til closing. Then there is the register situation, where they are all closed/off. It's moderately frustrating, but avoidable... just don't go unless its 2+ hours before they close, then you won't have to feel just how badly they don't want you there. After writing this out, i realize that it was the time with my family that made it feel 5 stars, so as I submit this review, I am moving it from a 4 star review to a 3. Both times I've been there I was very impressed by the quality of choices items you have choose from to buy for $5 and below. The store people are not very helpful so be prepared to just wander around and look even if you want something that you can't reach they're not helpful. They don't say hi when you come in acknowledge your there I'll give them it's a busy store and there's not a lot of employees but I am used to a much friendlier atmosphere when I'm spending my money especially in smaller stores. Aside from that due to lack of employees I would say parts of the story get rather messy I was there Christmas Eve it was a madhouse it was actually much better kept up and went smoother than when I went there for my grandson's birthday lol the second time I was there the store was together but scattered there weren't very many people there and like I said I felt alone till I checked out. I give it a high rating though because of the value and what you get shopping there regardless...

Took the grandkids here, (I've never been here or even heard of this retailer), to grab a quick gift for a last minute children's party gift exchange. It was NOT a quick visit! We all loved the place and TOYS glaore; and, with these low prices, I allowed the kids to pick 'now' gifts for themselves, plus select many Christmas toys for themselves, (knowing they would forget what they picked out, by the time we reached our 'Christmas, come celebrate at Nana's' day). We also found a great gift for the gift exchange party, of course. I hope this shop is a permanent fixture, and not just a seasonal retailer. That shopping center doesn't have much of a draw, so we'll see how it goes. I highly recommend browsing here, but bring your cash or an empty credit card, because their is...
