Came here for the first time with family two days ago. We sat down and the lady poured my mom and sister water, we were missing two cups one for me and one for my nephew. We waited probably 15 minutes before anyone came back to the table. The glasses had food on them and so did the silverware. I ended up not drinking anything since the second round of dishes was dirty as well, neither did my mom. My mom ordered the veggie ramen that had tofu, the broth was good but i found it odd that it tasted like seafood, the veggies in it were good but there wasn’t anything special about it. My sister ordered the spicy ramen bowl with pork, there was nothing spicy about it, it barely had any flavor in it … it tasted almost like teriyaki, the shin ramen you buy at the store tastes better. My nephew is only 5 we ordered him the fried chicken, breading was good but the chicken was dry and had no flavor. I ordered two servings of the bang bang shrimp, I was disappointed when it got to the table, it was 4 frozen butterfly shrimp you buy from the store with honey mustard on the side, not what you’d expect when paying 10 dollars for that. I also ordered the spicy edamame as well, that turned out to be the only thing I liked, I would recommend trying that, I’d stay away if you don’t like salty food or can’t eat a lot of salt. Lastly I ordered one of the pork buns, this was another disappointment, it looked nothing like the picture …it was one small piece of meat with tons of spring mix and a splash of sauce, it was dry and the bun was tough to bite into. I think the place has potential sorta… I think they need to work on the atmosphere of the place too I love the anime vibes, I am an anime advocate. When I came in I thought I would here the demon slayer theme song since they had so many figures of the anime, instead there was only Spanish music playing the whole night. Ended up spending 100 dollars for all of us 115 plus tip. It’s basically 15 for a bowl of mediocre ramen. Again it has potential maybe I’ll try it again in a...
Read moreMy experience at Hokkaido turn from excitement to disappointed once again.
The first time I went it was I and another individual. The service was horrible we had a male server that didn’t tell us his name but when he was at other tables that he paid attention to he introduced himself too checked in with them but I guess since we were the wrong set of people. We didn’t get certain food we order and than when we got the food it was someone else so it was a horrible experience the only thing that was great was the manager and the cashier besides she talked to much and didn’t let us eat it was okay.
We decided to go back with a party of 10 to support the Manager only as a lot of us are excited she was there and vow to support her even though the service the first time was horrible.
Walking in the door the atmosphere felt dead that manager was not there greeting people letting them know thank you for coming out to support.
First let’s talk about the service it was horrible again we got the Eric water who was all over the place he spend most of his time flirting with the cooks than he did asking if we needed anything and once again he took our order dumbed our food and went about his business.
Food there was a bug in our Chicken Rich that turned me off immediately. The bang bang shrimp was cold and it looked like it was the cheap box kind. Beside being cold it had a smell to them as they were bad.bathe food was a hot mess there was a lot of unsteady Ramens.
On top of lost food there was smoking and vamping in the restaurant you smelled the cigarette smoke when you went to the bathroom.
It was a waste of a trip. Although we wanted to support the manager who we didn’t see there I wonder why?? We...
Read moreI’ve given this place two chances, and both times left disappointed not by the food, which is decent, but by the complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency from the staff.
The first time I visited was shortly after they opened. The service was so disorganized it was almost laughable, but I chalked it up to new business hiccups and decided to give them time to get their act together. Over a year later, I returned. Big mistake.
I placed a pick-up order through DoorDash, thinking that would streamline things. Wrong. I walked in and stood there, completely ignored, while a woman sitting in a booth rolling silverware finally acknowledged me. When I told her I was picking up a DoorDash order, she looked at me like I was speaking in tongues. She fumbled her way to the POS system, squinted at it in confusion, and told me they had no order. I double-checked my phone: correct location, order marked “ready,” money already withdrawn from my bank account. I showed her my phone, and she still looked lost. No “sorry,” no acknowledgment of the mistake, just... nothing.
Eventually, she scribbled my order on a scrap of paper and handed it to the cook to start making... after I had already paid and waited. Still, not a word of apology. No smile. No effort. Just the cold, dead-eyed energy of someone who clearly doesn’t care whether you ever come back. And surprise, I won’t.
I don’t even care that the food is okay... it’s not good enough to justify being treated like an inconvenience. This place has all the warmth of a DMV and half the competence. If you want good ramen and to be treated like a human being, go to Naruto down the street. They at least understand that...
