Buttercups Cupcakes — Restaurant in Shreveport

Wow!!! These macarons and cupcakes are amazing! They have 12 different flavors of macarons and lots of flavors of cupcakes. I got three of every flavor so I could leave an honest review. We also got a German chocolate cupcake and a banana pudding cupcake. Everything is amazing at this place. I am no expert when it comes to making these amazing treats but from an untrained and uneducated perspective I think they may be a little over priced. That is the only reason door not tasting them with five stars. I still highly recommend this place but when the macarons are $2.50 a pop and the cupcakes are 2 for $7.00 we will not be visiting this place often. I may be completely wrong and the process for making these is a nightmare that involves splitting atoms and seeking unobtainium from an alien planet. But I would repeat visit this place much more if the macarons where closer to the $1.50 price point. But like I said I am no expert. They taste heavenly though and you should try them...

Something is happening with the quality of your cupcakes...they are starting to taste old and stale. They are pretty to look at though. Decided to give it another go by purchasing some yesterday, but was disappointed once again. This time I found an approximate four inch blonde hair with a little bit of blackish/brown tint to it on my salted caramel selection. Naturally I was grossed out and could not eat the others, which was a huge waste of money. Please consider making your servers wear hairnets considering they are on the exposing end of the cupcakes, because customers should not find hair on their cupcakes that do not belong to them. Also the added tip selection is a bit on the greedy side...if you don’t select a tip, it makes you feel bad, so it kind of feels...

Mostly everything is great! I have always loved anything I’ve gotten a preordered. The macarons are fabulous. This may have been a one off things, but today when I got some fruity pebble macarons (usually my fav) they were not near as good. I’m not sure if they were left out over night or they got a new baker but the texture was just very very odd and the filling was hard slightly like biting through a thin layer of chocolate.

Overall everything I’ve had is great other than this one time. I’d recommend giving it a visit, maybe just pre order the macarons so they are more fresh texture wise. The staff is also...
