I visited the store for the first time in decades, this time Amazon returns suggested I stop by and drop off my return here. I've been going to Kohls for a bit to do my returns, and I love that experience because I always end up buying something there, Kohls even convinced me to get their credit card, and so now I'm a VIP customer there. The experience is meant for you to actually want to buy something, strategically Kohls position the Amazon kiosk all the way in the back so that returnees walk all the store in hopes of something catching their eye, and it works most of the time, not to mention a nice 20% off coupon for their store brand items, which is nice. That's not the case at Staples. At first I thought well let go there to see if I need anything. But I walked into a disgruntled employee who explicitly told me how much he hated Amazon returns, only to be confirmed by the cashier at the register, "Amazon customers never buy anything here, our conversion rate is on the floor". I get it, but as a company, you should be capitalizing on this traffic, somehow Staples has forgotten their ABCs. How would I change this? Send the Amazon returns all the way in the back, fill that area with clearance and items for sale and offer a competitive 5% coupon off on your name brands. Make the store appealing, I felt that I walk into a mortuary, it was so quiet and awkward. Anyway. I hope you can turn this around because companies spend millions to get traffic in their stores and your letting it slip through your fingers.

I stopped by this Staples this morning to get a college rule paper. I got one before at another Staples location but I didn't know that they had 2 different paper size for the colle rule paper so I got the wrong one which was the smaller one. I been to the plaza this store is in before but never visited this Staple store until today. I found parking easily and they were not busy at all. I didn't know where the college rule papers would be so I walked around the store to check out what they have as well. I found the college rules paper where the binders were at. I checked out their computer chairs they had out, computer desk and printers as well. They seem fully stocked when I was at the store. When I went to pay at the cashier, the women working it was very friendly with me.

I've been in this Staples a handful of times and rarely find what I'm looking for. I don't think that's their fault, necessarily, it's just the retail landscape. When Amazon rules all and has everything, how do you compete? I commend Staples for still existing, still trying. But the shelves are half barren, the store is under staffed, and the selection is very basic. Good in a pinch, but that's about it.

Horrible customer service. I walked out and never ended up shipping my package out!!!!!!

I came in to ship a costume back to Spirit Halloween. Spirit gives pretty detailed instructions that you can send their items back thru any shipping company. The woman ( dark long curly hair and glasses ) interrupted me several times. I explained 3 times that I was not doing an Amazon return. I said simply I would like to ship this package back to the sender via UPS. She right away interrupted me and stated it had to go back thru FedEx even though I explained that was not true via shipping instructions from Spirit.

I walked away and the really unfair thing is I waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to the counter just to be refused service.

Train your people better. Listen to the customer before you insist you are right. You lost a customer. I will never shop at this location again or use your shipping services.

BTW I went literally a few stores down to the UPS store and they shipped my package. No line. ...

David who work in retail was such an amazing in customer service! He helped my wife and son pick out the most comfortable office/game chair for my son! He went above and beyond for my family. He even allowed my son Evan to help assemble the chair in the store by helping with the screws. Nothing big, don't worry. David was very careful and followed all guidlines. My wife and son came home that day after their shopping experience at Sataples Simi Valley and were so happy and appreciative of this kind man name David.. Please acknoweledge this employee and make him a prime example of what a good store assoiciate should be like. Life is short people! Be kind! Make that extra stetp! Smile and laugh! Don't take things so personal! And work with pride.just like David. Thank you, Keith, Sam and Evan !! We appreciate you! Keith Heating and Air Conditioning loves doing...
