T.J. Maxx — Attraction in Simpsonville

Very disappointed with my experience in this store yesterday. Found a Kate Spade canvas tote marked $26 and told the clerk I wanted it (they have to take it to checkout themselves because they think we will steal it). When I went to check out, the clerks at checkout had changed the price to $59 and said the $26 was a mistake. The clerk indicated that customers swap price tags, indicating I may have changed it on purpose. I absolutely did not put the $26 tag on it, but it was done by the store. Even if it was an error, they should have honored it. I felt very cheated and felt like the clerk may have wanted to purchase it instead by knowing I would not pay a higher price. I called back and reported this to Curtis, a manager, citing they may have dishonest employees. I also noticed this big man sitting at the door, who must have been security, because when I went to get a cart holding a handful of items, he almost came out of his seat as if he thought I was going to head out the door without paying. Guess he would have tackled me! ha! I usually love going to TJMaxx, but I left upset (still spent $130 and should have returned all of it!). Not sure I want to shop at TJMaxx again...at least not the...

My husband and I visited the TJ Maxx store in Simpsonville, SC. I needed to pick up some essential oils for a diffuser and also saw a set of 4 drinking glasses for $3.99. So, I brought them to check out as well. Upon checking out, the cashier (skinny, white female with brown hair) alluded to us switching the sticker on the product. She stated that she didn't think that it was the right price sticker. She went as far as looking the product up before scanning it for us to purchase. She indeed confirmed that that the glasses were 3.99. When I asked her what her purpose was for checking the price, she stated (with attitude) that she just didn't think that there could be 4 glasses for $4. "I'm just doing my job ", she said with an eye roll. I then asked for a manager. They called "Jay" over the radio, but instead a blonde lady (I feel like her name was Christina or something similar) came over. She was not concerned at all. She said "Im sorry you felt that way. There is nothing I can do about it. " I am furious to be accused of changing price stickers on items. I can very well pay for anything that I want. Being a manager myself, I feel like the situation was handled...

I used to love shopping at this store-till yesterday.My husband and I were shopping for handbags to take as gifts on our coming vacation.If you shop at these stores regularly you know if you find something it’s best to get it now!! So we found a few beautiful bags but were locked in-So I decided to go to the fitting room to ask the young lady if she can get me someone to help us in the bag area.(while my husband was by the bag holding one) When I walked by the jewlery area I heard the behind the counter employee laugh and say loudly “oh him with that bag he’s holding it on to dear life”. I was bothered by her comment(heard a few laughs coming from customers)

We also had an eye on 3 other bags all above $50.00. So I told my husband leave the bag let’s go I don’t want them anymore-when the jewlery counter saw how upset I got she told me”it’s ok it’s ok”. No it wasn’t her comment as loud as funny as she thought it was- For me it was not!! Will not be shopping...
