I have four children ages 1-13, the park was more suitable for the 7 and up range. My 5 year old couldn't go on any of the activity course bc of height but he did have a good time on the trampoline floor and foam pits. I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker I just wish the park understood this and geared pricing or more to that. Things they don't tell you, is that you will have to buy each child a pair of their "specific socks" at $2 each. Don't forget or lose them bc that can become costly per child with the cost of admission. Over all we spent $45 for all four kids to spend an hour and the purchasing socks. Ehh.. that was no drinks or snacks. The atmosphere is ok, with seating in a few nooks for parents. Even a few massage chairs for a few bucks. Three stars was basically the pricing verses the customer service.. Even tho the staff spoke specifically with you when your turn in line came. That was the only bit of acknowledgement you received. I actauslly stood in line for several minutes only to find out that I needed to sign in, and to fill out wavers in a different place. A sign stating this for first time visitors, could possibly help this set back. The lines are really out of control and could possibly have more helping hands in that area bc after finishing the wavers I then had to return back to the long line and wait again to purchase arm bands. Tip : don't be like me and let your children sit down at the tables while your in line bc you will need them back in line again for the arm bands. The overall experience of the place was nice but the work crew is young and customer service lacks. At the dodge ball area I stood with my son several rounds while the boy running it picked people from behind him to play skipping past my son. I finally had to let him know his arm band was only for an hour he cannot sit in this line and be skipped repeatly .. silly but just kinda common sense .. overall...
Read moreWe've done three birthday parties at Altitude, and while I've never had a bad experience, this year tops them all and now I'm worried we'll never be as satisfied again. Oh, dear.
All the shout-outs to the AMAZING manager Chad, who was not only extremely helpful when it came to the booking and figuring out which package would work best for us, but also was there the day of the party, setting the tables up even before the party planner came. He even brought out an extra side table for our oversized birthday cake.
But the real star of our experience was the party planner (or whatever they call the dedicated staff who helps each birthday party), Claudia. She doesn't normally work the Slidell location, and she was....beyond words phenomenal. Like I say, we've never had a single bad experience with the birthday parties there, but she went so far as to actually put on gloves to serve the pizza to the guests, AND served the cupcakes that made up our cake. That's not happened before, and as someone who gets birthday party tunnel vision, I appreciated this beyond words.
At one point, I was going to swing by the front desk to ask her a question, but the minute I left our area, she was walking towards me, asking if I needed help with literally what I was about to ask her. So, she's either clairvoyant, or just a truly exceptional employee who probably deserves way more than she's getting paid.
Now, I will say, on the negative side, the children did report that the jump area was too hot, and it did seem to suck up a lot of their energy, which was a major bummer.
But my kiddo LOVED his birthday party, and all of us boring adults commented to each other on what a great job Claudia did. So, Altitude, please work on your air conditioning system, and hopefully when we come back next year, we won't be too disappointed not to get...
Read moreIf I could give a negative amount of stars, I would. All I can do is laugh at this place, especially when comparing it to Sector 6, and Elevation Station. It looks great on the inside, and there is a bunch to do, so I will give them that. However, the staff...... The staff is very, And I mean VERY rude, and uptight. All you hear the entire time is them blowing their whistles, and literally screaming at kids. YOU SIGN A DAMN WAIVER SO YOU CAN HAVE FUN!!!! Also, phones are not allowed, hats are not allowed, etc. (Now yes, this sounds like common sense. But when you’re NOT jumping, or participating and you’re trying to take a video for someone, they don’t ask, they TELL you to take it off and put your phone away. Then as you POLITELY ask “Is it for the whole place or am I too close to the play area with it?” The 2 workers start making fun of you right in front of you, thinking you can’t hear them. Then when you say something about them being so arrogant and rude, they begin laughing, and tell you to “square up”, and begin making racial slurs. Now, I will NEVER be back here, and will make sure no one I know ever comes back either. This is ridiculous. I didn’t pay for an hour of screaming at children, constant whistles, and a staff member telling me to “square up”, and making racial slurs, then laughing about it like something was funny about him being so rude, because it wouldn’t have been so funny had it been the other way around! Stop being douchebags, and let...
