For a place I like so much to have such terrible customer service is very disappointing. At least in framing. They will leave you standing there alone for 30 minutes while 3 employees have personal conversations 5 feet away. I thought "no way these ladies work in this department. No way they'd just sit there and ignore a customer for 20-30 minutes." I was terribly wrong.
I brought in 2 items to be framed and was told it would take a month to get done. Which seemed excessive but okay. I was assured I'd recieve a call. A month came and went and I never heard from them. 6 weeks later, when I stopped in to check on it I was told "it was on hold waiting for the customer." This stemmed from me walking back to my car to grab a piece that was left behind on the day I dropped it off. There's NO reason it should have been on hold. So I resolved that (again) and told them to proceed. Then, I was told they'd call me in a week when it was done. This was 3 weeks ago. Now Im standing here 20 minutes later in the store waiting for the customer service rep that just walked off when I got here and said she'd be right back with me.
Your business isn't valued here in the least. There are local alternatives for framing. I'd rather give my money to a local small business who does everything they can to earn my business rather than a national retailer with employees who couldn't care less about it anyway. I suggest you do the same. Its a real shame because when you do get a rep they are very nice and at least appear to want to help. Paula apologized profusely and I'm sure it is sincere. But now I will have to make a FOURTH attempt to get my framing?! Months after it should be complete.
And I literally walked in with another $200+ framing job that I will absolutely no longer entrust to Hobby Lobby.
Oh... My... God... My framing STILL isn't done! "Nobody told her" I came in 3 weeks ago and told them to proceed! When it never should have been on hold in the first place! Yet where is my recourse? Where is my compensation for pointlessly wasting literally hours of my time chasing Hobby Lobby to get them to do what I'm paying them over $300 to do?! Unreal. I'm done with HL.    Read moreWe just recently moved to Slidell and we need to furnish our apartment with new decor. We went shopping at hobby lobby on a Thursday, and the store wasnât very busy. However, once we got to the checkout line(s), all 2 of them that were open, they were completely backed up from the register into the kitchenware section. The lines did move relatively fast, but there were still customers complaining about how long they were having to wait. A lady with her hands full was walking back and forth across the store, irate that there were only two registers open and that there wasnât a third checkstand open.
I come from a much more populated city and in my opinion the lines were reasonable. Yes, there were 3 customers ahead of me in my line with carts, but the checkers were working dutifully to keep the wait time to a minimum.
All in all my family and I had a great experience shopping here. The employees were helpful in directing us to what we needed to buy. The pricing was fair, and they had a 50% off sale on all canvas/wood and metal wall decor!
I overheard a customer saying that the department store used to be a Walmart previously. My only recommendation is that the store has more room to be stocked, but it could be on accounts of the prior business that was there. Thank you hobby lobby and crew for a great...
   Read moreI went in tonight and bought $140 worth of stuff to put in my house be/c my house burnt down for hurricane zeta and we are trying to replace everything well one of the things we bought was a big metal cross and my husband forgot it at the bottom of the buggy when we left and we went back and they was closing well the doors was locked already and the manager came to the door and I asked him if anyone had turned it in or if the person who went and got the buggies from the parking lot found it and he said he didn't know to call tomorrow be/c they was closing up and I asked if he could ask the 3 girls standing by the registers if they know and he wouldn't even ask them said nope call tomorrow said we are trying to get out if here which I understand but I don't understand why he couldn't ask the girls so I will never shop here again which I had planned on coming back to get alot more once I close on my house so yall lost...
