Office Depot — Local services in Slidell

Just fine as a store but pretty much all office services are bellow the level you'd expect to find at a Holiday Inn. It's not so much the employee's fault as a matter of bad company policy. One major problem is that all jobs are handled by employees. For example, if you need to print a group of documents from a thumb drive you have to hand it to an employee and explain what you need. Obviously it is impossible to accomplish anything complex or detailed in this fashion. The disorganized state in which I received my tax documents cost me at least 30 minutes of extra work. "No extra work" should be the baseline goal of any establishment that advertises office services. The nearby UPS store lets you sit at a terminal and organize your own printing jobs so I recommend going...

I came in needing just two simple copies, but the self-service copy machine had a long line because one of the machines was out of order. The person using it was printing over 100 copies, and others in line also had large jobs. I asked an employee—who was just chatting with the cashier—if someone could quickly help with my small request using one of the many unused machines behind the counter. I was told that any copies made by staff have a 24-hour turnaround, even for something as quick as two pages.

This was the 1st visit in about 10 visits (previous visits) that someone wasn't rude to me! There lady working in the copy/print/fax department tonight was very helpful & she was nice. So was the cashier who checked us out tonight! Both patient, did not rush me, even took an extra step to look up a photo online for me!! 😊
