Ichiro hibachi Express ( Sakura Express) — Restaurant in Slidell

Edit 9/18/2018 7 months since my last review, i havent come here that often anymore. Its not the food, its not price, its not the service. Its the competition, because whenever i pass by, i see Canes, Chick Fil A, Panda Express, and Golden Dragon. Despite being 4-5 star restaurant determines by other reviews, i have point out that as a customer, i like this restaurant but the problem is why dont i come back within days, weeks, or even months. With the street being very busy, i see most people heading to Canes or Chick Fil A, if people have time, they go to Golden Dragon. And if possible they might choose Sakura Express vs Panda Express. Most of the time, i am the busy person on the busy street who goes to Canes or Chick Fil A. And if possible i could go to Sakura Express, but if go to Rouses, i can stop by Panda Express or if i want to relax and eat, i could go to Golden Dragon. If i need gas and a quick drink, i go to Race Trac. The problem is, this place isnt that convient nor exciting just like what happened to the closed buildings next to it. How can this place continue to be exciting and convenant? My suggestion is do something that Golden Dragon hasnt done yet, do what Canes and Chick Fil A have in common (not fried chicken) Easy and conviently cheap price food that comes in simple container. If that doesnt work than exclusively try to sell fried chicken and fries along with Sushi or something like the yum yum sauce everbody will come (for the fried chicken). Like if this place sells good and fresh tasty Fried Chicken, i might stop by here more often only because the lines in Canes and Chick Fil A get too long. As a customer who likes Fried Chicken and Asian food who goes to Canes more often like many other people. I would come back for fried chicken with Sushi. Your Welcome :)

Food and quality is amazing! My favorite item is the Steak Bento Box. Large food quantity with Sushi, Dumpling, Fried Rice, Steak, vegetables, Ginger, Wasabi, a Drink, and this amazing sauce you would dip anything on it for the price of $11.25 Lots of different soy sauces and food is not expensive like most people would think. The highest priced item is $11.95 and its a steak hibachi or something like it. Amazing food! Food tastes just like it should, kitchen is brand new, and service is very friendly. I recommend to those who want to hang out with friends or go on a date. This is not a chinese restuarant, this is a Japanese restaurant with a take out option. This is not expensive at all but its worth a little more than a Chinese Take out. Good place to eat, and surely will come celebrate my special occasions here....

Called over the phone for a side of filet & fried rice (had done this before) a young girl got confused told me on price and I pulled up it wasn’t $11 like she stated, but $21, she apologized and I said it’s fine and tipped $6 on what was supposed to be $43. 10 minutes down the road she called and said she forgot to put my sushi order in there. A total of 39 minutes with the food almost and then another 20 home. I get there (another lady was at the window) & said is there anything we can do for the absolute hassle and my food getting cold & she proceeded to hand me a glass yellow drink and I was like my food is getting cold and I still have to drive another 30 to get home. She said “it’s ok, we don’t want this to happen” I said give me a refund & she got the food back and the first girl got to keep the $6 I gave her. As a bartender and someone who works with food too, that was a ridiculous response & horrible customer service. . . Pho Bistro...

Even make a Grandma Happy!!

Sooooooo I ordered from this place that we obviously all know Sakura Express. Talking about the one in Slidell Of course! GRRREEAT food, service heh I mean outstanding! They call me immediately after I ordered off of Waitr I didn’t catch the woman’s name but she was VERY polite but yet still straight to the point (traits of a great worker) ANYWAYS ordering felt more like a feeling of chatting with friends accompanied with actual laughter. Food was REALLY good had my Grandma Who’s taste buds aren’t too good -her words not mine !! Had her saying it was delicious Which had me try it, has a great flavor. Was fresh. AS FOR THE SUSHI! Fresh. Tasty.

Basically ordered here just to get a bite to eat but just surprised me because like the title says.. it even made my grandma...
