Moved to the area about 1.5 years ago and I am a big plant enthusiast (to put it lightly). Have gone here MANY times, great variety and friendly service. If you want to go and grab something they are great. However, I tried to place an order for the first time since I am finally re-doing my landscaping. Never got a call back over the course of 2 months despite me calling at least 6x that I remember and stopping in in-person 2x. I kept being told different things - they didnât know if they could get them, they have them at a farm but not in stock, they are waiting for a larger delivery, back to we donât know if we have them- but never once got to speak with or received a direct answer from the person my messages were supposedly going to. When I asked for clarification I was always told sheâs (Christine) is the only one who knows. Iâm sorry, but I spend almost as much money as a lawn care company on plants and I canât even get a straight answer relayed to be let alone speak to the person placing the orders? The way they handled my business left such a bad taste in my mouth Iâll be going to whitcraft farms and A&J landscaping supply only now depending on what Iâm ordering. Very disappointed and not what I expected from the experiences I had...
Read moreI have gone to Magnolia Garedn Center for many years, still stopping there, knowing full well that their prices are outrageous, totally overpriced. But they were the only ones I could find that has vanilla marigolds. I went last Sunday and found them. A flat of 18 , 3 inch pots. . I picked up 2. $104 for each flat. I put one back, naturally. Last year i paid less than half that. So I go home, see the receipt said 4 and a half inch pots. Went back the next day. Showed the receipt. The cashier said: we charge the same for both puts. All individual. No flat price. I explained i got them last year, special order, way less. She said, (very flippantly, I might add) : I don't make the prices. I left. Never again will i go there. Way too expensive. And not very nice people. I will grow my own by seed since they are hard to find. I suggest shopping at Hilltop Garden Center. It's in the same area, basically. Their prices are better. It's a mom and pop shop. They take very good care of their stuff. Always healthy. Their hanging pots are anywhere from. $10 to $20 cheaper for a healthier looking product. They may not have as much variety, but it's a good , nice , and...
Read morei was surprised to see ...⊠NO one there!!! Look at this place!!!! Such a lush selection! And the pricing is veryyyy reasonable, especially considering the size and profuse growth of each plant;. Their collector plants are also generously sized! Which has been a rare find for me.
(see last photo for my purchases) Iâve been s e a r c h i n g for a Cryptocereus Anthonyanus (aka âric racâ or âfishboneâ cactus). Plant cuttings go for like 8 EACH on Etsy, while this big olâ guy was 40! I even had to ask the staff to help me pick which basket to take home cause one was just so majestic and beautiful âš
i also went home with a rhaphidospora tetrasperma (10.99). It was basically crawwwwling out of its 4inch nursery pot, so I asked a staff member if he could just repot it real quick so it wouldnât fall out during my 1.5hr drive home. Not only did he agree, he repotted it in a 6in pot with fresh soil AND put a small stake in it to keep it uprightđđ„ș FREE. OF. CHARGE. YALL.
TLDR; go to Magnolia Garden Village on white horse turnpike. You wonât regret it. If you do, itâs probably because you already own too many...
