Sonoma Valley Escapes — Attraction in Sonoma

Do not use this company. They will defraud you. Please see the uploaded pictures and be the judge. I rented the Wood Valley Ranch for my sister's bachelorette weekend. The house was riddled with problems, only one of which was solved during our stay. The house had not been adequately cleaned. There were bugs smashed into the walls and mud in the bathtubs. The water was opaque and unusable, we were in fact provided drinking water after being notified hours before check-in "the water at Wood Valley Ranch is a bit off-color due to the earthquake. Due to some iron sediment. We have flushed the line, and the water should clear with a couple days of use." The water never cleared and the water was beyond off color. None of the members of the party were able to adequately bathe during this stay. I could have made other arrangements if when I called the day after the earthquake I had not been assured that the house was in perfect condition. I was either intentionally lied to or Sonoma Valley Escapes had not been to the site. As a result of the water quality the pool did not have adequate levels of water for the drain to work so the pool was filled with bugs and other debris. The pool area had also not been cleaned prior to our check in and there was glass on the deck and beer cans in the bushes. The internet in the house did not work nor did the cable, the outdoor/indoor speakers, the lights in the living room, many outlets, or the air conditioning. Upon asking for a discount we were denied and told that the house was in "lovely" condition. I also had a difficult time even getting the company to answer my phone...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the UPDATED Wood Valley Ranch in Sonoma. The photos on their the SV Escapes site are not yet updated, as this property was recently completely overhauled and was absolutely impeccable, from the marble counters, soft close cabinetry, new floors, fantastic furniture (leather couches and club chairs were so comfy), to the brand new linens and high end comforters and pillows. The kitchen was completely stocked with very high quality cookware, dishes and cutlery. The pool/spa were a perfect touch at the end of a "long" day of exploring local wineries, and there was even an outdoor propane firepit. Byron was a very responsive and attentive manager, and even set us up with local complimentary wine tastings. Everything from first contact to check out was top notch with this...

I LOVE Sonoma Valley Escapes. They are professional, timely, have beautiful properties that are kept up, and the prices are fair. I have always had great experiences while staying at SVE properties and while booking. The process is easy and I feel confident that I am getting a great deal and that the properties are as they are shown in photos or described to me by Heather. I try to do little getaways with my husband, we love the properties in Sonoma and Glen Ellen. When my friends come out from the Eats Coast, we call Heather and like to book the Ripple House.

I travel all over the country and use AirBnB and VRBO and I generally have good experiences but nothing comparable to SVE. SVE is top notch...
