Souderton is a beautiful town, and this park is a reflection of that same beauty. The gigantic mature trees here provide lots of shade for much of the play area, unfortunately not all of it, especially the swings & climbing equipment.
There is a very nice covered pavilion with picnic tables, a water fountain, & hose bib, rentable for gatherings.
An impressive bandstand with accompanying green for seating dominates much of the northwestern area.
There's even a court for playing "Ga-Ga" (a small-court, hit-legs-only kind of dodgeball).
It's situated just across the street from the amazing community pool, so if you're peckish during pool hours, you can cross the street to visit the very impressive snack bar (it has outside access, so no entrance fee required).

There's graffiti on the slides, weeds all over the place, and no woodchips or safe ground covering in the play area. This is the only area of the playground where there are any trees around, so it's frustrating in the middle of the summer. Just played chess at the picnic tables with a friend while listening to a guy noodle on his ukulele for hours, chatting with the young families playing with their kids. Nice walking path with big old shade trees and a nice pavilion for larger cookouts with friends and family.
