Montgomery Theater — Attraction in Souderton

Saw the new show in preview last night, what a lovely collection of girl group music from the 50s and well- performed. The only thing, NO SOUND! Unmiked.They have a sound system for some background announcements and effects. They have prop mikes in front of them like radio mikes. I don’t know who would ever have the conception that this would be workable, it’s an awful shame. Theater, you have to change this and not take away the opportunity for your audience to actually hear the singers with production values! If you want to know the difference, record with an IPhone directly in front of the singers, that’s what a mike conveys. Then go to any point in the 200- person non- sound stage with a crowd and record there and try to hear each girl’s balanced harmony. You’ll know what to do. I knew the story was adorable, buttttttttttt did I know the performance would be SOOO ENTERTAINING! THE CAST OF THE LITTLE MERMAID, did an excellent. casting for the parts, was right on the money. from ariel to eric, Ursula, the chef, and scuttle, what could I sat but, delightful. they connected with the audience and especially the small kids who were mesmerized. at one point, I glanced at the little ones sitting on the floor, and they were totally in awe. if I had to rate this between 1-10, i'd give it an 11! kudos to the director, costume and set designers and the WHOLE cast. make sire you go see this, but get there early as word has already gotten about on how great a...

November 2021 update - The theater has taken the decision to require a physical check of each patron's vaccine cards to gain entry. You must hand over your card... for... inspection.

Those considering attendance should be aware that this will be required if you attempt to enter the building.

This requirement does nothing to prevent the spread, nor does it protect the patrons. It does instill fear, which i find unconscionable. Worse yet - the credential check staff is aggressive and barred us from entering the lobby then proceeded to chase us down the sidewalk insisting they "Need to see our cards".
