The park has a shaded playground, a picnic shelter & several other picnic tables & benches under the many shade trees. It has restrooms the day we went It needed some tp It was running really low. The playground equipment wasn't hot because of the shade over it ,which was very nice. The reason I gave it a 4 star was the swings desperately need repair. It could even maybe use a whole new swing with at least two baby swings & two regular swings & maybe add another handicap swing because it currently has only one & it has only one baby swing & one regular swing & an entirely missing swing. Other than this it is a park that we will return to, it's nice & it isn't exposed to the sun really so it's not a burn hazard like almost every other playground that has no shade because there are no trees or anything to shade the playground equipment & the little ones can really enjoy...
Read moreIn general, the park and bathrooms are clean. However, occasionally, I have witnessed some vagrants and very sketchy people who merely come to the park because they appear to be homeless. For the most part, the families and children who visit the park are friendly and play together. Parking is never an issue. A lot of people walk their leashed dogs on the track and others utilize the quarter mile track for exercise walking/running. I wish the park had lights as in the winter it is too dark to walk the track after work. There is a shelter where many host birthday parties and other similar events as well as, stand alone picnic tables and benches. There is a large green space inside the track which offers an area for a spontaneous game of softball or soccer, kite flying or frizbee throwing. Fun for all is the small creek which runs along side one end...
Read moreThere are better parks in Greenville, but this one is close by so we frequent it often. There is a mile loop around the park so kids can ride bikes, but mostly it is used by adult walkers. Lots of folks walk their dogs here or just get their low-impact exercise in for the day here. The loop surrounds a very large field perfect for an impromptu soccer game, playing a game of catch or flying a kite. The playground is okay but there are better in Greenville. There are two large slides and a few swings including a swing for parents who have a special needs child. There is a playground apparatus for small children that offers a short climbing wall and a very short slide. There is also a covered shelter that is available for renting with 6 or so...
