Travelers Rest Farmers Market — Local services in Travelers Rest

The market itself has a nice variety of vendors but I will not be returning. It was nearly impossible to find a parking spot and cars were parked in weird places making the lot difficult to navigate. Worst of all I was shocked to see a large sign near the entrance stating NO DOGS ALLOWED! What? I had never before encountered an outdoor market with this stipulation and I was not aware of it until we were already there. We had our dog with us because every other farmers market welcomes well-behaved dogs. We drove 45 minutes to check out this market so I was not going to just turn around and go back. Our little guy is a licensed therapy dog, so I felt comfortable walking him around the market in spite of this ridiculous rule. Nobody said anything to us for which I was grateful. I’ve been to a lot of farmers markets and this may be the best I’ve been to. It’s got a great layout so even though it’s busy, it doesn’t feel crowded. The selection of goods is incredible and I love that as a gluten free person I can get tons of delicious items including baguettes, English muffins, donuts and so much more. We love this market !! I've tried the best honey, bread and cheese here. We buy fresh fruits and vegetables all the time from there. We also got some really cool homemade salve and soaps. They have activities for kids sometimes and that's really cool too. Keeps them occupied and engaged. I like the diversity of the vendors and enjoy the live music band each time we go.
