I usually order most items online, but I figured I can stop by this Target and pick up a video game for my nephew's upcoming birthday. I originally expected this to be a quick venture, since I know the electronics department has its own registers.
Well, I get there, and their electronics registers are all closed. The employee in the department was at least apologetic, but he said I'd have to go to the front registers to purchase the video game. I should have left at this point, but I was buying a birthday present, I was in quite a good mood, so I agreed and made my way to the registers.
I get to the checkout lines, and I'm able to find a line with only 3 transactions! Must be my lucky day...or so I thought. I would have been better off in one of the other lines that had 5 transactions, chock full of merchandise, honestly. For whatever reason, this cashier takes 20 mins to do 3 transactions that all had minimal items, or just plain simple items that are easy to scan. Again, I should have left after the cashier took forever with the first transaction.
After giving the cashier the benefit of the doubt and refusing to believe that the next two transactions would take as long, I decide to stay. Finally, the 3rd transaction is finishing up, almost my turn! Customer decides to slowly pull out coupons, only for the card to be denied right after all this! So after the cashier mucks up the first two transactions, now it's taking 7 mins just for the last transaction because of the customer.
This was my breaking point. I'm only human, after all. I dropped the game onto the conveyor belt and marched on out of there, furious. Whole thing could have been avoided if they just had their electronics registers open like they're supposed to. Or if I just decided to trust my gut and not shop at physical stores, especially disorganized ones.
Are the registers at the electronics department just for show at this Target? Are all their cashiers incompetent? Are all their customers absent-minded and ridiculously slow at getting their currency out?
I'll probably never know, since I won't be coming back to this joke store anytime soon. Definitely sticking to Amazon, after...
Read moreToday I decide to wake up early and buy my baby boy a jumper, after going to three different Targets by 11am I had no jumper. Checking availability on each jumper on the Target app only to go to each store and item not to be in stock when talking to team members who were no help! All they did were scan items on their phone and look confused I ask to please check the back two stated it would show up on their phone while the last lied and said of course I saw this person walk in a circle then come back and admitted she wasn’t to sure where to find the item or use the app. Why do you have all these items in place then not properly teach your team memebers how to use them. It was a waste of a morning and since I decided I went to three stores that means unloading and loading a crying baby and a stroller I decide to buy another toy only for this toy to be damaged. Your store is ridiculous and as I’m going to return the item I can not get a refund because it open, so I get store credit instead why would I want to continue shopping at target if this going to be my experience!...
Read moreFirst time I've been to this target. This place has everything locked up, toiletries, baby formula and more. It takes forever to get someone to get you what you need. I needed to flag a manager down after ten minutes of pushing the button, just to get a box of toothpaste. Security are a bunch of young, muscle heads, who followed me around the store like I stole something (even though everything is locked up). By the end of my twenty minutes in the store, I was shaking. I was at self check out and had a worker five feet behind me while a rung up like two things. I was followed out by five security guards who were all just staring at me. I smiled at one to diffuse the tension I was feeling, as a woman by herself being pursued by five grown men. He simply spoke into a radio "I have her. She's leaving. Where are you?" One of them came out and took a picture of my car as I drove away. Again, I've never been to this Target in my life I am currently on a trip from out of state. Sorry to anyone who frequents this place. Loss prevention is clearly inept.
Welcome to Los...
