I know my review is long but it will save you 100+ dollars and System Parts
I'm not sure if the reviewers in the bottom are true reviewers, they may be employees of ASTRO TV. I find it really hard to believe after the service i have gotten. I've even given them a second chance because i believe everyone deserves a second chance. But after the service i've gotten i prefer that you guys spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
Do not go here.. several years back i took my ps3 to get fixed because it had YLOD. The guy took over a month and made no progress; he would come up with excuses about not being able to get the parts he needed. I called him after i got tired of waiting and told him to just put everything back because i was going to go pick it up the next day. I took it to go get fixed somewhere else and they gave me a call an hour later telling me that the bluray player was missing from my ps3, i was furious and knew that the employees of Astro Tv must have stolen it since i cancelled my service with them.
My tv messed up exactly 3 weeks and 4 days from this post. I decided to give Astro Tv another chance. At first I was relieved that there was someone else who was working on the Tv's he was an older mexican who resembled the age of 40-50. So i felt sure that things might work out, BUT it's been 3 weeks and the EXACT SAME THING IS HAPPENING. Excuses about not being able to get parts and what not, i confronted him and told him that i wanted him to fix it, to just order the parts off of eBay i would pay extra if it costed more, i just wanted him to fix it. I didn't want to pick it up because last time i took my ps3 it resulted with them stealing my blu-ray player. He then REFUSED TO FIX IT, saying" I don't want to fix it now, just come and pick it up" WHY?! Doesn't he want to get payed?
I'm not going to say he has stolen parts from it. I honestly have no idea yet, I'm going to go pick it up now and take it somewhere else. I will come back to the review section and let you guys know if he did steal parts from my tv or not.
TL:DR; I was displeased with their service even after several years the same thing has happened I will NEVER take anything here again and tell all my friends and family not to go here. Read moreWe were given a referral by UBreakIFix, to take our PS4 Pro here due to insects being in the system. It wasn’t a massive infestation but there were roaches and roach residue, and UBreakIFix has a policy that they cannot work on, nor repair gaming consoles that have insects in them. The original issue we had with the PS4 was that the system was not reading any discs that were inserted and would make an awful noise when first turned on, like it was trying to eject a disc. I took the PS4 in to Astro Repair around 12:30. I was informed that the system would be fumigated and because of that, $25 is due up front, but the $25 goes towards the repair cost so that was good news already. I was told I would receive a call when the diagnostic was completed. I received the call at 1:20 and was informed that the disc drive needed to be completely replaced. I asked how long would it take to be repaired and they said by 3pm and that I would receive a text when it is completed. I was honestly shocked because when we took the PS4 to UBreakIFix, they had the PS4 for a little over a week only to tell us they found insects and could not repair it. I received a text at 2:48 saying the system was repaired and ready for pickup. The system is repaired and is working great with no issues, so thank you Astro Repair! Read moreThe reason for me leaving 1 star is because I contacted them and dropped my TV off on 3-13-25 I was told that it would take 4-5 days to get it checked out, let me know what's wrong, and get a price, because it was a Thursday when I went in and it was "close to the weekend."
That was fine with me....
However, they never reached back out after those 4-5 days... 8 days passed and we were now on 3-21-25 and I decided to give them a call, and they said that they were waiting on a part.... I called again a week later on 3-28-25, just for them to say that they had to use that part that they were waiting for on another TV. Fast forward to 4-3-25, I was told that the technician that works on the tvs was in the hospital facing life-threatening issues,which I said, "I'm sorry to hear that."
I truly felt bad, however, that didn't change the fact that my TV was in there for 16 days already, on what was supposed to be a 4-5 day check, and 3 day fix.
I called again 1 week later on 4-10-25 and was told that my t.v. might take another month to fix. The very next day, on 4-11-25, I was told that my TV is ready for pick up. I get there and was anxious to check to see the new beautiful visual on the T.V., just for it to be in the exact same condition it was when I dropped it off 1 month prior on 3-13-25.
