First time visiting The Glass Station since they moved from up the road. Love it! The new place is so bright and shows off the products much better than the other location ever could. Miss the nostalgia the other building evokes, but this was literally a great move on the owners' part. They now offer pieces from other artists, too. And you can tell they take the time to make sure the other artists works are top quality like their own. I've only ever bought a couple of their blown glass bees, but I think they are SO cute! From friends shops in Providence or on Cape Cod all the way west to Portland and Seattle. In this particular shop I really enjoyed the selection of artists work, the subjects presented, and the layout. It had plenty of glass art to view and I made several self tours around the gallery chatting with the friendly staff. Read moreWe did the glass blowing class in which we made ornaments and had a great experience! Eben and Jen were great instructors, really easy going and fun. Wasn’t sure beforehand how “hands-on” the class would be, but after taking the class it was the perfect amount - Eben and Jen perform the more technical portions, but you are still very involved in the whole process overall. The ornaments we made came out looking great and we learned a lot about glass blowing. Note that you have to come back the next day to pick up what you make because it needs time...
