7-Eleven — Attraction in South Lake Tahoe

Be careful when you buy here. They have a reputation of ripping others off I have the proof of what I was charged at the register. Went into the store to buy a 3 pack pabst blue ribbon that was listed at 5.99 on the shelf I was charged 6..49 before taxes and recycle deposit. In the state of California it is illegal to post on a shelf the price and then charge more at the register so now will be filing a complaint to department of weights and measures after I speak with the store manager. Also I will be posting proof on social media no wonder why this store has such low reviews. When I spoke to the worker about this discrepancy he waved it off and said that's what they charge for all 7-Elevens I know this to not be true because different states charge differently depending on the area and then when I asked him again he blamed the morning shift. I went back and grabbed another three pack of a different variety take a note of what was listed on the shelfs an then going to the register finding out it is much different from what they posted on their shelves. Clearly these people are ripping people off. I documented everything and will be formally filing a complaint. Worst store ever!!! I will start off by explaining my experience just this morning. Walked in before work, running a tad late and wanted COFFEE! Now that's not too much to ask for...or is it? There were 8 EMPTY coffee pots on the warmers. I asked the employee "hey so there's no coffee this morning"? He said Nope. I said " soooo are you not making any for the day? He said NOPE. Then proceeded to do whatever he was doing behind the counter ( while talking on his phone) and flat out ignoring the poor lady waiting to get rung up with her small child. Honestly I felt like we were getting punked, and it was some kind of joke. Extremely rude and incompetent new cashier. This incident occurred yesterday, 3/8/23 around 2-3pm. Check your cameras and see how your cashier doesn’t understand how to ring out basic, highly advertised deals, so he proceeds to argue with me about a deal clearly posted on the door and window, proceeds to stare at my ID for 2 minutes, and then charges me full price instead, just to add insult to injury. With that attitude, he’s going to get knocked tf out by someone less patient than myself.
