IN AND OUT BEACH SHOP & RENTAL — Attraction in South Padre Island

Came in there early Saturday morning rented a golf cart for 2 hours. Also prepaid for a slingshot to go out and make a night run and watch the sun go down. I have bad arthritis in my knees so when we turned in the golf cart rental I thought You know I better check and make sure I can get in and out of one safely. I could only get one leg again my right knee just would not been far enough to get it in. They gave me a refund which I was up in the air about if they were going to or not but they did. I recommend In And Out Beach Shopping And Rental 100% those guys are top notch. Thank you again for your hospitality and your professionalism. I sure was looking forward to that night cruise in that slingshot. Thank you again anyone ask me I'm going to say hell yeah save the kind folks at In And Out Beach Shop And Rental ! We look forward to seeing you again the next time we are in town....... You know what I'm going to update this review. All the low reviews the people that gave those reviews have very few reviews. The ones that have reviewed this that have local guide status all but one gave high reviews....

Over the span of just two days, my family experienced one of the worst rental situations we’ve ever had. We were issued four different golf carts from SPT Fun Rentals — and every single one broke down. We dealt with dead batteries, a faulty reverse gear, and even a tire blowout while driving on the main highway (Padre Boulevard).

Each failure left us stranded, including one incident where we had to walk over 30 minutes in the heat with three small children. This wasn’t just inconvenient — it was unsafe and unacceptable.

SPT Fun Rentals offered us only a $100 store credit for the repeated failures and the risks we were exposed to.

Avoid renting the 8-seaters from this company — they only had four in total, and every one of them had a mechanical issue.

Lastly, I strongly encourage others to inspect their rentals thoroughly before signing anything. I normally do this myself, but my brother handled the rental this time and trusted the company to provide safe, maintained equipment. Unfortunately, that trust...

We had a negative experience. Weeks in advance we called and asked if they rented a tandem bike as we were visiting SPI just before Christmas. We were told that yes they do. When we arrived in person the gentleman at the counter said there was one but it was in disrepair and couldn’t be rented out. I explained that we were in town for 5 days and could it possibly be repaired in that time. Yes I think so he said. He then told me to call him at the main number at 4 pm that day. But I could not get through, nor did the line accept voice mail. The next afternoon we decided to drop in to get an update. A woman working there said the man was not there, but she would talk to him and gave me her personal number to get an update. She even showed me the bike, which needed air in the tires and a greased chain. Anyway, I called her back as instructed, left a message and never heard a thing. I realize they make all their $$ on golf carts. If they couldn’t rent it ok but they had to waste our time in...
