Bitters & Bottles — Attraction in South San Francisco

I’m a local bartender in the area, as one I always have a craving to go into liquor stores and find out what hidden treasures await. I heard about this store from one of my bar regulars and decided to go in and give it a shot. I went in immediately after that morning shift and my god did my life change. As I walked in I was greeted by marvelous man bun adorned beautiful Canine, I thought to myself “ I’ve been to SF stores before and usually when the shop owners have store pets it is actually a pretty passionate and serious business ala Blade Runners on Haight street”. When I explored I found bottles and bar tools you can’t get in any local commercial store in the immediate area. There was clubs for specific cocktails one being the Negroni one of my all time favorites. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and most of all not pretentious. With Covid being lifted and a new roaring 20s in the horizon and myself personally moving all but a 5 min walk from the store I will always buy from here and highly suggest any casual - serious cocktailians or anyone that wants to step their cocktail making skills step into this place. This place is incredible and anyone that supports spirits, bartending, home mixology, or just wants to ask questions and be more knowledgeable should seriously shop here for all their spirits needs. 5 stars I wish I could rate higher this place is a vision simply spectacular!!! Bitters & Bottles is a local liquor store with an educated and helpful staff. The gentleman who helped me guided me on the a tequila, which I was buying as a gift. I personally don't like and really know anything about tequila, so having this guidance was very helpful.

He pointed me out to his favorite, which was almost sold out and was a nice range price. Rather than pointing me to the most expensive item. They also helped me pick out a locally made bitters.

This place would be a solid five stars, but they charged me $1.50 for bubble wrap when I asked for some without telling me there was a charge. I think it's worth highlighting this as I thought they were being kind and giving me a square as I told them I need to fly it back. Which I then graciously thanked them for and appreciated them helping me save a trip to Walgreens...

I order online for shipping on a regular basis. B&B has a wonderful selection of high quality and interesting amaros and Liqueurs. They also sell cocktail kits - an easy way to build your bar. I ordered the Yuzu side car kit and am happy with the result. If you want to expand from the typical bottles or zhuzz it up a bit..try their "The Not Collection" for new takes on a common modifier. They have alternatives for green chartreuse and so many others.

I am a huge fan of rum and always find the perfect bottle.Also recommend for gin and bourbon. Shipping is fast, they often pack my order on the same day.
