I visited Staples this morning (09/13/2025 9:15AM) and had a very unpleasant experience with one of the employees(a Hispanic, tall, long curly hair gentleman). When I first walked in, instead of being greeted with a professional âWelcomeâ or âHello,â the employee casually said, âHey, whatâs up, man?â I am not his friend, and this is not an appropriate way to greet a customer.
Later, when I asked how long it would take to laminate one item, the employee only repeated that â12 ordersâ were ahead. As a customer, I have no way of knowing how long 12 orders might take without being told the approximate time per order. I explained this clearlyâthat since I donât work there, â12 ordersâ means nothing to me unless I know how long each order usually takes.
Instead of giving me a straightforward answer, the employee kept calling me ârudeâ multiple times. Eventually, after I carefully explained again what I was asking, the employee finally gave me an estimated timeframe, saying roughly what time it might be done. But why couldnât that information have been given in the first place?
Having to push for a simple answer while being called ârudeâ is completely unprofessional. Customers should not need to justify why they are asking for a wait time. From the casual and inappropriate greeting to the repeated dismissive comments, this was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience.
I still LOVE Staples, so this little experience doesn't make me want to give 1 star, but this was the first time in my life that I was treated this way at Staples. It left me truly disappointed. I had always thought of Staples positively, which makes this experience even more frustrating and disheartening.
I hope the management team reads this and reflects on their better...
Read moreWent to Staples today to return an Amazon item, I was hoping that it will be a good experience for me, unfortunately the manager that I dealt with named Israel was very disrespectful, he was taking so much time in placing the label on the item that I'm returning & i waited patiently. I told him that I'm in a hurry, He thought that I was being rude for saying that & I said what is wrong with what I said & what is wrong with him. He got upset and threw my items down on the floor, " He said with profanity here's your return & i'm not going to assist you. He stated that he's job is not important to him & I picked the wrong day and walked out of the store violently & said he'll be waiting outside for me out on the parking lot. I went to another representative and asked for a manager. I discussed the issue with a manager named Rose and notified her of what happened. If I could give a double 0 star I would do it. I am extremely disappointed & shocked with what happened. Staples has to do something about this & I will never come back to that...
Read moreMy last few visits here were to do Amazon returns which was great due to how close it was to my house. I've never before had an issue, so today was a first; I've never before felt compelled to leave a negative review on yelp until today(11:30ish). I came in to return one item and was 1st in line behind a woman who was already being helped... another lady came over and stood off to the side rather than behind me. Soon after two men came and stood behind me in line. When the next person was called they allowed this lady standing aside to cut me. She apparently had been detoured to checkout previously and had to come back to returns/shipping desk after. When they called next in line I believed it to be my turn, since I was there first. But the employee disregarded me and they allowed the lady to cut me in line. It made me feel disrespected and stupid for having defending myself. I likely wont be...
