I started going to Pure Body Studio almost two years ago for two days a week to help with lower back pain (lower disc) - I have one on one sessions with Pilates Instructor Heather Greene. I was experiencing severe back pain, to the point I could barely move. The sessions with Heather focuses on strengthening and always being mindful of using my butt and abs for movements rather than my back.. The instructors and staff are personable, friendly, and always happy to answer questions. Everyone who works there is upbeat, positive, and genuinely interested in the you as a client. The classes give you a full body workout every single class. I always leave sweating and feeling strong. Each client receives individual attention during class whether your form is corrected or you are given a more challenging version of the exercise. She is always prepared to give me a good, challenging workout even if there are many people in the studio. Each workout starts with a discussion of how I am feeling so she can tailor the workout she had planned to whatever my specific needs are that day. I have had back problems for five years now. I tried PT, personal trainers, and pain management shots to control the pain. Then I tried Pilates with Heather. She is outstanding. Pilates has been by far the most effective exercise.
