So, I guess I'm a gluten for punishment. Fact is...I love the product. Fact is, I hate the service. After my cashless experience, I noticed I had a gift card. Perfect, I thought...I'll get some more vegan ice cream and pay with a gift card. Now I'm buying a pint. That's roughly $12. There always seem to be customers in front of me, but hey, I'm patient. The attendant...perhaps I should get his name, looks at me..perhaps remembering I do not feel the need to tip when just purchasing a pint of ice cream. So, tonight his comment..."Is that all". Nothing turns me off more than.."is that all?" You see, that is where the transaction ends. He does not say.."Anything else?" But he left off...Is that all cheap skate? In any event, I present my gift card. He says "tap it". I say...there is not chip on a gift card. Heavy sigh...he then keys in the number...I guess that deserves a tip since he had to put in some numbers. He finishes and hands me the card. Now, I have zero idea what he charged. I say...receipt? Answer...no we don't give receipts. When will I learn this place...

My family was super excited when Lick opened in Houston. We previously tried lick in Austin and absolutely loved it! The Beet and Goat Cheese flavors are delicious but unfortunately none of the other flavors I’ve tried have been very good. They all taste bland and the texture of the ice cream isn’t creamy. It has an icy/chalky texture. What annoys me about lick the most is that they don’t provide free water. All the locally owned Houston ice cream shops have free water for patrons. Most people bring reusable water bottles with them. I shouldn’t have to get water from your bathroom sink. I can’t stand when places only give you the option to purchase bottle water.
