Itâs unfortunate to see the way the owner is running this business after reopening what appears to be a lovely theater in town. The space looks great, the seats a nice, but all of that is ruined when you canât see the movie you paid to see and the owner refuses to refund the tickets. I just had to leave a showing of the Haunted Mansion because the protector was broken and the movie couldnât be shown. While I understand that these things happen, I do not understand an owner refusing to refund money to patrons who didnât get to see a single second of the movie (projector wouldnât even turn on), and already spent money on concessions that they wouldnât be buying if they werenât seeing a movie. Whatâs even worse is leaving a SINGLE employee to run the entire theater and deal with these issues. This employee had to sell tickets, snacks, and manage the theater for 3 movies all starting at the same time. She had no help - and when issues arose and she called the owner the only option he gave her was to give people passes to see a different movie.    Read moreI would give this theater 0 stars if I could. Bunch of wise guys with zero respect running concession stands. After I requested a new paper bag for my sons popcorn because he was given a bag with butter dripping off the sides I was told to âturn around and grab some napkins and wipe it off.â After I told the worker I was not doing that he continued to argue stating that the owner takes inventory of the treat bags and very rudely was pointing out the various cameras and using that as an excuse to make the customer wipe off the greasy dripping bag! Say what? My husband had to come back and intervene all while this young and very very disrespectful worker continued to banter over a 10 cent paper bag. When we requested to speak to a manager we were told they were not there. All of this in front of a kid and we ended up missing a good 10 minutes of the movie, needless to say also ruined the entire experience for my son. The biggest waste of money here!!! Spend a bit more time and head down to AMC in Rockaway where I guarantee you will not be treated with such disrespect by some wise guy and ruin the day for your kid!...
   Read morePains me to give a one star review considering I am a MAJOR supporter of local businesses in Sparta. 15 year resident. In a kids movie and there is no heat onâŚliterally. Asked the staff to please turn the heat on and was told to put our seat warmers on but they would share my concern with the manager. Check seat warmers on. Half hour later and can honesty share I am frozen. Nose is cold to the touch. Asked again for the heat to be turned on and was told the manager was informed earlier but had left for the evening but would be contacted. Turns out the Manager did not leave as he walked back in to adjust the heat. Hopefully warms up.
