I really really enjoyed this Thai Kitchen. Big fan of Thai curries so I could not resist, I was also feeling like I was getting under the weather so I needed something to make my nose sweat.
When we walked in, I was happy that it wasn’t busy and it was very cozy and noticeably very clean. Only two men were present eating and talking.
One thing worth noting is that on Saturdays you can only get the Dinner portion.
S/O to Nick for being a great waiter and host. He was hospitable and very amicable.
I started off with the Curry Puffs, which were outstanding. I love Samosas and these reminded me of that but the puff was more refined version. The dough of the puff was softer than that of a samosa, but the flavor profile the same. The accompanying cucumber dressing , I could literally drink that by the gallon.
I really enjoyed the vegetable green curry as my main course. I think if the green curry is good most of the time everything else on the menu will be as well. I was happy to have the option of adjusting my spice level. I asked for medium. It was stellar. Bold bright and flavorful curry. I will come back to try the Red Curry.
My good friend ordered the chicken stir fry and she enjoyed it. We had enough to bring back home.
I enjoyed my experience here I hope when I come back it’ll...
Read moreHad a 7:15 reservation. Arrived a few minutes before the reservation and was sat immediately. My girlfriend and I ordered an appetizer and two entrees about 5 minutes after sitting down. 3 couples came about 10 minutes after us and ordered and all got their appetizers and entrees within 20 minutes of them sitting down. We waited 1 hour before I walked up to the counter and asked the waitress when our food would be coming out as we were the first ones in to the restaurant and still haven’t even received our appetizer. I was told it would be right out. Then magically our crab Rangoon’s came out 2 minutes after me walking up there and were cold. Then we waited another 20 minutes and my girlfriend’s food came out. It took another 15 for mine to come out after hers. We were impressed by the flavor And taste of the food, but extremely disappointed in the service. We felt...
Read moreBased on great reviews of this restaurant we decided to pay a visit for lunch on a Sunday. First off, the restaurant is in the same building as Sparta Bowling Alley. In fact, the back of the restaurant is the alley itself and you can actually walk into the alley from inside the restaurant. Second, the tables setup is a bit odd with 2 tables that are bar top, and the counter is also odd - perhaps, it was the alley's old counter where people check in to bowl. It's just an odd setup. Third, not sure why this restaurant is rated 4.7 on Google as there's nothing authentic in their food. Everything tastes sweet and Thai food should be a balance of flavors. Pad thai was bland and sweet, Tom yum soup was lacking lemongrass and tomatoes, and the green curry was overly sweet even though I ordered very spicy. Overall, it's well below average....
