We had this on our itinerary for a day in Indy. It looked amazing online, but was really just okay. My husband and I took two 12 year olds and thought it might be a fun and interactive experience for them. There isn't much to the museum - just some cars (which are cool) and then a few race car driving games, which didn't work too well and the iRacing interactive models were inoperable. There wasn't really anything "hands on" for the kids to do. We looked at all the exhibits in about 15 minutes. The tour was scheduled at 1pm, so we left and came back for it. It was nice and informative and the movie was interesting they showed prior to entering the factory. Racecar enthusiasts will enjoy much more than the average race fan. The museum portion is decent enough, but a bit less interesting and comprehensive than I was expecting. However, my partner and I received a personal tour of the factory/warehouse area since there were few visitors at the time. That tours was fantastic and well worth the full price of admission. Even the door makes mention of their event calendar online, which never showed either closing! I checked repeatedly in the days leading up to our trip. Completely unprofessional.
