I wish I could give it a better rating I've been going here since a child. And it it was always so colorfull and fun and vibrent and a grate place to have kids birthdays BUT I have lived in the area now for 5 years and have seen it go down hill the play ground is falling apart & It's dirty really dirty... They is always overflowing trash by the dumpster as well as the homeless have taken it over parking lot gazebo even the play ground. I've been here a handful of time with my daughter 1.5 years, today was she last straw multiple homeless people had decided to use the playground as the bathroom.... There is feces all over it absolutely disgusting!! The children of this neighborhood deserve better then what this park has become if your not going to maintenance the playground even alttel remove it it's becoming a health hazards. 9 times out of 10 your not going to be Abel to use the picnic areas because someone is so zooted out of there minds on it under it. And the portion of the trail by the park all the way to iorn bridge. Dirty ! Nasty 🤢 there a tree that people go to the bathroom on apparently it's designated for that now... Garbage saronding it tp and all not to mention the Foley's and needed I've seen in the last week just taking a 20 min walk down that path. Do better parks & recks ! Do...

I was at Mission Park on Friday. It was a decent hangout spot to barbecue with a friend's of mine that just graduated from SCC. However, the reason for a three star rating. Allow me to point something out:

If you are a parent, attend to your children if they need to go to the bathroom. There are drug addicts that occupy the restrooms for a place to use drugs. One of the girls I was with had to dispose of the needles that were left behind before letting her kids use the bathroom. And in the background, there were two tweakers fighting about where their drugs went.

If you are at the park late, get the hell out. We were there late negotiating how we would get the barbecue on top of the SUV. But at the late hours, the park becomes a crime magnet. One of the ladies I was with had to use the bathroom real bad and I had to walk her to the restroom because there was a lot of yelling in the vicinity.

Lastly, my friend who just graduated Criminal Justice had a situation of an unknown person claiming lost technology she found. She used her training in criminal Justice to have him describe it to her. They could not describe it so she just turned it in to the police station.

Overall, the experience was okay but the criminal activity does need to be...

Mission park is a great park but does have one downfall. I'll listed all the good first because they definitely out way the bad. It has a handicap baseball field which is awesome. It has a outdoor playground with a wheelchair accessible swing. It also has a splash pad for the kiddos, new restrooms, 8 tennis courts, 2 canopy eating areas, wide space of lawn for grass activities, doggy poop bag stations, a trail that runs around the entire park for running, walking, biking etc that connects to the Centennial Trail. The witter pool is right next store and the parking lot is in between the pool and park. It also has a basketball court that has lights so you can play at night. and picnic tables with BBQs. On the trial are also some stationary gym equipment for arms and legs. The park has so many awesome features but one huge downfall is that there is a lot of homeless people. I have witnessed a handful of fights and police activity as well as people walking up to me and not...

I sit here early morning, playing ball with my dog and while it is cold, its refreshing and makes being up early only a yawn. I banish morning mouth with a half a 1/5 of Pineapple Vodka and two 24 oz Redd's Wicked Ales Sour Apple flavor and not only does it banish morning mouth, but also afternoon, and evening mouth as well! Or it maybe just makes you less concerned that you have them. But Mission Park early morning is cool when its cold, hardly any joggers or dog walkers, so my Service Dog can relax for a moment and be just a dog chasing a ball or chasing after Sammy Squirrel and roll in leaf piles. Early morning and late night are our times and Mission Park does fit into our off-hours routine and therefore fits in with Couer D'Alene park, Cannon Park, Liberty park and Underhill park as the place to go in the Early morning and late night "Let the Service Dog be a Dog" "In" places to hang with the Sammy Squirrels and Marty Marmots!

This expansive lawn style park is conveniently close to Safeway, a walking trail, and has many places to sit. It is clean enough for a picnic and the only animals are birds and squirrels. There is a pretty nice playground toward the back, what appears to be a restroom facility, and cyclists seem to love circling the park. Tennis is available, and there are a couple pavilions for gatherings. The trees provide shade without overwhelming the light, it is far enough from the road to dampen traffic noise, and the only downside I suppose is a lack of fencing, in the event of young children or special needs. Lovely place to visit nearly any day of the week. It is close enough to some of the shelters to provide a safe area to spend time in the event that one is displaced. Yay, Spokane!

Park is overrun with drug users and homeless which I don't typically mind if they keep to themselves but one of them got aggressive towards me when I took my toddler there and the other day she almost picked up these uncapped needles that were lying in the playground. It is one thing to use drugs but to shamelessly expose these things to children isdespicable. It's too bad because it is a good playground.
