First off- this restaurant is A+ for many reasons. First, it's authentic Indigenous food served in a manner that suits a variety of palates. We were a party of 3 - two adults and one teenager. My husband got the Hunter - a sage bison frybread, as he dislikes taco-seasoned food. The teenager and I love Mexican-style food, so we loved the Rancher frybread. It's a considerable portion- my husband and I could have split one, TBH, but the 14-year-old polished his off and took the half I couldn't finish for leftovers. We came on a Sunday when they have a special where you get a free dessert frybread. We don't have huckleberries where I'm from, so I was excited to try the sauce! Everything was delicious, with attentive service. It's family-run and owned by Native people who take pride in offering good food and sharing culture. We parked in a lot behind the building housing the restaurant. I saw some street parking, but those spaces were all taken. This cafe will also hold a special place in my heart because it's where we took the teen who is joining our family. We flew to Spokane (I've never been to this part of the U.S.) to meet for the first time that weekend. Yelp steered me to Indigenous Eats on Boone when I searched "teenage-friendly restaurants." I knocked the ball out of the park by choosing this place!

Absolutely wonderful. The whole menu is great, their fry bread is authentic Native delicious fry bread, the ndn tacos are made with all delicious fresh ingredients, and the 3 sister's soup pairs so well with the fry bread. I just tried their Powwow burger today (I'm not sure if it's new, first time seeing it available) and it was sooo delicious 🤤 1/3lb Angus beef patty between 2 frybread, huckleberry relish sauce, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Tell me that doesn't sound out of this world. And their frybread with huckleberry sauce is an incredible dessert, an absolute must-try if you live anywhere in the area The food sits on the stomach well and really gives you that "I just ate a good, filling meal" feeling that leaves you feeling great the rest of the day. Some people have mentioned the price, and its not exactly dirt cheap but honestly its not really spendy either, easily fairly priced when you consider that a powwow burger + fries is less expensive than a quarter pounder meal from mc d's 🤯 Overall: 9/10 if they keep it up they will have many customers and no issues staying in business Pictured: Powwow burger with Fries 😋

Indigenous Eats far exceeded all of my expectations with a single bite of their Ndn taco!! I was wondering just how good a dish so simple could be, and to answer that question, you MUST try it for yourself! I ordered the ground bison on fry bread with chili beans, tomatillo salsa, and all the fixings, but you can customize to your heart’s desire with several different base, protein, veggie, and salsa options. The ground bison was exceptional — it had a mild but extremely delicious sage flavor, and paired with the also flavorful chili beans and additional toppings, it completely wowed me. The fry bread was made to order (the server literally popped fresh dough into the oven after I placed my order), which makes such a difference — it’s 100% worth waiting a few extra minutes for that hot, golden, cooked-to-perfection fry bread! I couldn’t believe how good everything tasted together. I’ll be back for more soon — both for the food, and to support a fledgling indigenous-owned local business!
