My son and I had a great time solving The Haunted Motel! There was a lot for the two of us, so more is better, but I have done many escape rooms and this was one of my favorites. They also offer hints when needed and considerately ask in advance how much help you'd like.
The biggest thing is the puzzles are intuitive and not impossible to figure out. A puzzles are a good balance of number and letter locks, as well as magnetic putting the right things in the right places. For two people, it is frantic, but I know they need enough puzzles for more people. With a little help at the right points, we made it out with a minute to spare.
The atmosphere was appropriately creepy with sights and sounds.
Julia was a great game master and helped well and at appropriate times. She was cheerful, friendly, and professional.
We can't wait to go back and try another one with my whole family. My only negative, as a Christian, was the pentagram at the last part, but I did sign up for a...
Read moreWe came to town and did two of their escape rooms. The spy room was amazing. There was only 2 of us but we have done tons of escape rooms so we got out with about 15 min left. The props were great and the room looked really cool. We knew the 80s room was probably too hard for two people to do by ourselves but decided to try it anyway. It was by far the hardest room we have ever done. We didn’t escape but we were fairly close. We probably needed another 5 minutes to get out. A few of the puzzles weren’t my favorite and there were quite a few videos that we felt like we didn’t need much of the info in the videos for anything and probably used up about ten minutes of our time watching them. The puzzles were creative and unique. Even though we didn’t get out and I was super bummed it was still a good room. Definitely meant for a larger group and people who have experience with escape rooms. The props were great and everything was...
Read moreWe went tonight. It was miserably hot. When we left, the girl working apologized and said their AC keeps going out and they won't come to fix it. I wish we would have been told this before spending $145 for 2 adults and 3 kids. One of my kids was so hot he had to leave the room and not finish. We were sweating a ton and got super thirsty so we went to get some water and they said they didn't have any (and no water fountain). If you're not going to have AC in August, you should at least offer fans and water. Or tell your patrons to bring water with them. We basically ran out of there at the end, covered in sweat, to go to another business to get water. Still rating a 3/5 because it was fun for two out of the 3 kids. Wouldn't mind trying again if the fix their AC and either offer water or tell customers to bring...
