I really enjoy going to the movies which is one reason I'm an A-List stubs member. I am at this theater around 6 times a month and I have to say I think it is going DOWNHILL!!! I'm not sure if there was a change in management but someone is running this place terribly. Three years ago this was a nice theater with things working properly, items were stocked, employees did their jobs and were friendly and it was clean. That is NOT the case now. The soda machines are out of something and you can't get ice from 2 of them. They changed their condiment stand and went from packets to the big jugs with pumps, which I understand is better for the earth, but it is never clean or stocked. There are recliners in several theaters where the arm at the end of the row is not secured to the chair. The women's bathroom has sinks that didn't work, the paper towels are always empty, the trash is always full and the toilet seat in the handicap bathroom is attached by only one hinge so it moves all over the place which could be dangerous to someone elderly or physically impaired. This year the AC seemed to be either not working properly or set to a much higher temperature. The last movie I went to see, Speak no Evil, was HOT! Their was no AC on at all until after the actual movie had started, not the 20 minutes of previews but the actual movie. You are not supposed to sweat more in a movie theater than you do outside on a 90° day. The employees are invested in doing good work, or work in general, and are not as friendly. The theater always seems to be understaffed. There are 2 lines for concessions in the lobby, one is strictly for the A-list premier customers and I one for everyone else. As a perk for paying for the premier stubs account you are supposed to be called before the next person in the regular line. Well the employees don't seem to be trained properly or just don't care because they don't even look at you until you actually draw their attention to the fact they are ignoring you. Ji have been to the theater when they didn't have any employee behind the counter while the of them stand in the lobby talking to each other!. A yeah can is placed outside the theater does and you are expected to gather and throw away your trash. The theater used to have movies that started mid morning during on week days so you could see a movie before you pick up kids from school but now they don't start until 1 or 2 o'clock. I'm sure there is more but I think you get the idea. Oh yeah, the ticket prices have increased while everything else is falling apart. I mean where is that money going? It certainly isn't going towards maintenance or hiring...
Read moreUpdate- I returned to AMC again. It was a little better than previous visits. The place was cleaner, they seemed to have updated the rest of their screens and chair. Other than the movie room- The staff was very friendly, the lobby seems updated and cleaner but the bathrooms were NOT clean at all, and the prices on snacks are still high for what you get. Also if you go, ask about combos, there was a combo listed on the app but not on the menu inside. (Sneaky) Anyway, I will add a star as it was better than before but still no comparison to the competitors. My opinion- this will probably not change. With the new style of reclining seats and less people per theater, the other places are sold out more often so AMC doesn't need to drop snack prices or invest in amenities as there will probably always be some overflow. Thats how I see it. Good Luck!
Original review- Went to the AMC 11 for an afternoon movie. I had been going to the competition but tried AMC today. Not impressed at all. Some of their theaters have the reclining seats and some have the larger or imax screens. (All the screens at the competitor are the larger screens and have better sound systems. The reclining seats were noisy, not that big of a deal. The position of the reclining was further back and wasn't as comfortable when putting my legs all the way up. Again, not a big deal. The food is where the biggest difference is. The competition offers snacks as well as full meals, burgers, cashew chicken, pizza, club sandwiches, Philly sandwiches and etc.. The AMC offers popcorn, hotdogs, candy and chicken strips. The AMC prices are way higher. Plain hotdog 7 bucks?!? Pretzel and a drink 14?? A drink and what amounts to about 1 slice of pizza chopped smaller... 15 bucks?!? C'mon!! Both places offer refills on drinks and popcorn. The competitor is unlimited, AMC is 1 refill. I wouldn't recommend AMC and I can't see why I would return as the competition wins on everything. AMC bathrooms were not the...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience! I have gone to many AMCs and have never been disappointed till today. I had movie tickets and ordered seats offline, when we showed up for our movie approximately 15 minuets early we were stuck in line the whole time to get popcorn and a soda. As we walked into our theater 5 minuets after showtime all seats were completely full! So we turned around and went and told them we would like a refund as all seats were full he started off kindly saying we would get a refund for our drinks and tickets, and we did for our drink and popcorn as I greatly appreciate. Although when they tried to give us a refund for the tickets the system would not work so they told us to call the gift card company. So I did, come to find out the gift card company doesn’t deal with refunds or anything of that sort. So they gave us movie “passes” for any other movie we wanted which again greatly appreciated but still was never given anything for the inconvenience of driving here being screwed out of a movie at the time we obviously picked for a reason and then told we could come at a later time or another day. I don’t know about anyone else but typically the day you pick to see a movie is a day you don’t have much to do and have some time to spare and you pick that day for a reason so again another inconvenience. I am exceptionally disappointed the way things were handled just because they didn’t want to take the time. It was not our fault the theater overbooked. If I would of just gotten my refund I could gone to another theater and watched the movie I wanted not three hours later than I had...
