I'm kind of on the fence about these guys. They pale in comparison to my og computer dudes, which is South City Computer in St. Louis, but I am in Springfield for the summer so I had to go else where. When I went in, my laptop screen was messed up because I dropped my laptop, and I figured I'd need to just buy a new one. Now, I NEED my laptop for work and school, but Computer Innovations assured me it was fixable (for less than buying a new laptop) after a diagnosis, so I decided to wait it out and borrow computers/ go to the library for work. Well... nearly a month later and they broke my original screen, my laptop was no longer able to turn on, and the price to fix the now failing motherboard (which might not have fixed everything anyway) was above the price range. I had to buy a new laptop anyway, after wasting nearly a month of productive work.
I'm not saying they don't know what they're doing, or are trying to rip people off, they are just not time efficient and bad at communication. I played phone tag with them a lot, and I was the one who had to call back to find out the final verdict after 9 days of radio silence. South City Computer, which I mentioned earlier, also has this policy where if you pay extra, they'll look at your computer that day and make it a fixing priority. I found that very nice when my laptop broke in the middle of college finals. I didn't have that option here, and I think nearly a month to fix a laptop is ridiculous (especially since I ended up just buying a new one anyway). So, I'm on the fence about them.
If you're looking to buy a computer or you don't need your computer fixed in a timely matter, then I'm sure they're fine. But if you need your laptop for anything time sensitive, maybe...
Read moreI recently had the privilege of working with Chad at Computer Innovations in Springfield, Missouri, and I can't recommend their services highly enough! As someone running a datacenter, I encountered a challenging issue with drive provisioning that I couldn't resolve on my own. Chad stepped in and not only fixed the problem swiftly but did so at an incredibly affordable rate.
What truly sets Chad and Computer Innovations apart is their deep expertise in enterprise-level IT solutions. Chad didn't just solve my immediate problem; he provided invaluable advice on optimizing my entire datacenter setup. He highlighted potential pitfalls I hadn't considered and proposed cost-effective solutions that align my setup with those used by Fortune 500 tech companies. All this, without breaking the bank!
Computer Innovations is truly a hidden gem that I never realized existed in Springfield. Not only do they employ knowledgeable staff, but the products they offer are those I sometimes wait weeks for—had I only known of Computer Innovations, I could have had them within 30 minutes of my needs. All I can say is Jeff Bezos and eBay will be receiving a lot less of my business, and Computer Innovations will be receiving a lot more of it.
In fact, I'm currently collaborating with Chad to implement these cutting-edge solutions, and I couldn't be more impressed with the professionalism and quality of service. For anyone seeking reliable, affordable, and expert IT services, sales, or support, Computer Innovations is the go-to place. They truly deliver excellence in...
Read moreSome of the worst customer service I have ever had. I debated writing a review, because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but the lack of urgency, communication, and overall rudeness by the tech who assisted me was enough for me to leave a review.
I built a new pc and was having blue screens. After troubleshooting for a few days and determining it was a hardware and not a software problem, I brought it in because I didn't have a spare AM5 chip or AM5 motherboard. All they worked on was software related problems, and they took two weeks doing so. Finally when I said I was just going to take it back and go elsewhere, they told me they would test thermals. This is two weeks into the problems, with it blue screening on them. They told me they would leave it running for 8 hours until it crashed in bios. Not really sure how you are going to troubleshoot a system when you just let it run all day and then crash but I digress. When I finally got the pc back, I took it apart to RMA the motherboard because that was my best educated guess. When I took it apart, I noticed the thermal paste hadn't changed from what was stock with the cooler when I installed it, telling me they never tested thermals.
The service was terrible, the attitude towards me just seeking updates because I heard nothing for days was terrible, and overall I will never take another computer to...
