This Doctor Seuss museum is part of a five museum complex. The Doctor Seuss museum is small but very entertaining, excellent for children. There is an outdoor Dr. Seuss sculpture garden which is enjoyable but not huge. We adults could cover that museum and sculpture garden in about an hour or so. As art lovers, we pushed our way through the two art museums in about 2 hours, only because we had a rather tight time schedule... The collections range from Chinese body armor, ancient sculptures, 19th century American art, and lots more! The science museum had nice exhibitions on dinosaurs, rocks and minerals, hey display on Africa featuring African plains animals, and life-size dioramas of northeastern American wildlife. Very nice. The Springfield history museum was a very pleasant surprise, with information about the many businesses that arose in the Springfield area, including friendly's, Smith & Wesson, Indian motorcycles, the fact that Rolls-Royce's were manufactured for a while in Springfield, and much more. They have a large space for traveling exhibits--this one was on toys and games, which offered a full hands-on experience for children of all ages! Wish we had scheduled a little more time for this museum!

We came here when it was a free admissions day! It’s one of cool museums out of the Springfield museums within the quadrangle. You’ll love it here if you’re a dr Seuss fan! The home is very colorful and kid-friendly. I can see why families like to come here. It’s certainly not as entertaining for adults without kids because there will be lots of children running around everywhere. I probably won’t come back unless I’m bring a kid here and/or it’s free. I would come here if I was a kid, this whole place just look like I’m living in dr Seuss world. Thing 1, thing 2, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish, etc etc!

Any Dr. Seuss fan would love this place. It includes original artwork, letters from Dr. Seuss to family and fans, family pictures, awards, and plenty of hands-on activities for young and old. There are sculptures in the garden and a building dedicated to him. The building is two stories plus a small basement. There is only one room that pictures are not allowed to be taken, other than that you are free to take pictures and touch most of the items included. We got there late, if we get the opportunity to return I will definitely give myself more time to enjoy.

Visiting and learning more about the life of Dr. Seuss was a wonderful experience. This place has five on property museums that range from fancy original pieces of art to fun and playful engaging areas. I will not spoil the many precious and priceless items because it's fun to discover them. The price is affordable and is for kids ages 0-100+. I think there is a little bit of everything for everyone. I also learned that Dr. Seuss and I share the same birthday, so happy birthday to us. Cheers! I will only post some photos because I took about a million, lol.

I had the most delightful time exploring the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden in Springfield, Massachusetts! As lifelong fans of Dr. Seuss, we were enchanted by the whimsical sculptures depicting beloved characters from his iconic books. From the Cat in the Hat to the Lorax, each sculpture brought our favorite stories to life in a way that filled our hearts with joy. Strolling through the garden, we couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and nostalgia. It's a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the magic of Dr. Seuss's imagination.

The memorial gardens are wonderful and have beautiful, fun sculptures to see. However, why have an interactive display you can't interact with. The main part of the display was roped off and the guard said it is always like that now and was not just because of the heat. We live in SC now but are from Massachusetts and the last time we visited years ago you could interact with the sculptures for some fun pictures. It made it enjoyable for the children to play on. As a relative of Theodore Geisel it was sad to come back home and see that.
