The Red Rose in Springfield, Massachusetts, delivers an exceptional dining experience with authentic Italian flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. My evening began at the bar, where I ordered the sausage and pepper appetizer, a standout dish with perfectly cooked sausages and vibrant peppers served alongside a flavorful marinara sauce. Each bite was an explosion of well-balanced seasoning. Next came the garlic bread with cheese, a comforting and indulgent dish that paired beautifully with their marinara dipping sauce. The highlight of my meal was the chicken parmesan with ziti. The chicken was tender, coated in a crispy breading, and smothered in a rich tomato sauce and gooey melted cheese. The ziti was cooked to perfection, making this a hearty and satisfying entrée. The ambiance at Red Rose is cozy yet lively, with TVs showcasing sports for entertainment and a friendly bar staff ensuring excellent service. The portions are generous, and the dishes are a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity. Red Rose is an ideal spot for families, date nights, or solo dining. Their well-rounded menu and consistent quality make it a must-visit for anyone seeking traditional Italian comfort food in Springfield. Highly recommended!

My husband and I visited Red Rose Pizzeria for a late lunch Thursday May 30th. We are from West Virginia and didn't really know what kind of food they served other than pizza, which is in their name. We were pleasantly surprised to see a full menu of salads, appetizers, pasta dishes, create your own pasta dishes, grinders, etc. We ordered the appetizer Buffalo wings (8 count, which were delicious), my husband ordered the Italian sausage Grinder (it was loaded with meat and cheese), he loved it! I ordered the lasagna with a side salad and it came with fresh hot bread. That salad was HUGE, my husband and I actually split it. The house dressing was absolutely amazing! The lasagna was the BEST lasagna I've ever had, and I've had a lot of lasagna! It came out steaming hot, which was perfect, I like my food hot! The bread was delicious and soft. I can't say enough about the food at this restaurant, but honestly that wasn't the best part of our dining experience. Our waitress Bonnie was amazing! She answered all my questions regarding the menu and we even enjoyed small tall before and after our meal. If you have the opportunity to go to Red Rose Pizzeria, ask for Bonnie, she made our dining experience so enjoyable!

3/5/23 Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line of people waiting to go in. The restaurant opens at 2pm on Sun! Place was hopping. We all got buzzers for when a table would be avail. Only waited about 5 mins. Service was great (sat in bar area, Liz was our server). Italian grinder was outstanding, as usual. Fresh soft grinder roll, freshly cut meats. Wife had grilled chicken with mushroom gravy on side. Flavored well and juicy. Cannoli for dessert 😋 3/18/22 Traveling back from upstate VT and stopped in at Red Rose. The food was excellent, as always. We got stuffed shells (5 in an order). Great taste, creamy filling. Cold cut grinder, packed with high quality meats you can taste and great provolone. The roll was soft with a good chew to it. Medium pizza, mainly former take home, but craved their pizza. This place never disappoints! 2019 Red Rose is a must if you are in or near Springfield. A landmark that serves superb Italian food. Expect a wait, but it will be worth it.

I was here celebrating my sons graduation. There were about eight members in our party. One thing about red Rose is you have to make sure all your party members are there or you won’t be seated to go early on the weekends as they can get extremely busy and if you don’t wanna wait long, I suggest going early, we ordered pizza and the salad and breadsticks which were really great and we brought our own cake and they were accommodating with that so that was really nice. It can get a little loud in there and my had a hard time hearing because of the noise and the waitress for some reason that night wasn’t very attentive, but that isn’t the normal. We usually get great service and the food is always awesome. If you’re planning on getting takeout just know they don’t deliver. You have to use one of the services that they use and I believe it’s just delivery express.

I've lived outside Springfield for about 10 years and never visited the Red Rose. I have heard great things but didn't want the hassle of driving into the city. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. It was just my wife and me. We both got small pizzas... But they are not "small". Each could easily feed 2-3 people. So needless to say we had some leftovers. House Salad was very good. Can easily share with a party of 4-6. Dressing was light and tasty. Pizza is what the red Rose is known for and it did not disappoint. Sauce and crust were both excellent. It isn't a thin crust NY Style... It is a little thicker but still crispy on the underside with a good chew. A+ I highly recommend and will be returning with the kids. The menu is so much more than pizza. If you like Italian fare this is your place. Portions are very generous and the prices are fair.

The restaurant is a must-see in the area because it has a history and is greatly valued among the locals. The kitchen has a large window to see the action, and the restaurant is grand. This is a family restaurant; it is crowded and loud. The restaurant is perfect for bringing children and grandparents, not for a business meeting or romantic date. The restaurant is a fun place. The food is excellent but not gourmet. The staff is friendly. If you are a tiramisu connoisseur, you will hate their version of tiramisu; it is a combination of cheesecake and tiramisu, which the waiter/waitress discloses at the time of ordering. Parking is across the street, and it is convenient. Even on a busy night, you will find parking easily. The restaurant also has a bar, and you might have to wait to be seated on a busy day but still find parking easily.
