We stopped to look at this park when we were visiting from out of town. Discovered it is just a neighborhood park in a low-rent part of town. The friendly group gathered under the pavilion offered us some beer, but we got the impression they don't see a lot of white people there.

No literally; there is garbage everywhere. Discarded tires on the banks of the "lake", which is a filthy pond.
