Escape Rooms are one of my favorite birthday traditions! Gather anywhere from one to seven friends, read through the storyline of each room and pick which level of difficulty you would like to try to tackle! We most recently completed the Judgment Room. In this room you are handcuffed and blindfolded and must escape before the time runs out. We made it, but with only 6 seconds to spare! I love the thrill of looking for clues and being creative to solve the puzzles right in front of you. Be prepared to work as a team and find as many codes, keys, and clues as quickly as possible to escape before time runs out!

My buddy and I went for 2 escape rooms, the first was the musician one and it was challenging and fun with super cool music elements. The second time we did the Mafia gallery, which had cool lighting elements and a moving part(you’ll see what i mean). Both rooms were very well decorated and nowhere near basic, and all the clues and hiding spots were creative. The puzzles weren’t just codes, locks and keys, there are tons of cool custom made parts in both rooms we had. Kayla was our puzzle master both times and did an amazing job all around. I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE who is bored and nearby!

The Daughter Unit's Sunday School class, the Hillbilly, and Mrs. H.B. all stopped by the Springfield Escape Room. And we had AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! Having never experienced an escape room, I was curious to see how it worked. Myer was our Game Master and did a fantastic job of explaining the rules and safety protocols. Then, we had 60 minutes to escape LiCastro's Castle. Our group was focused and did a great job solving the riddles. So much so that we not only escaped the room, but did it in record time! I am SO glad we chose the Springfield Escape Room. I hope we can all go back sometime soon.

I did the room "The Judgement" and I did not like it. I was told I needed at least 4 people to properly do the room, but I'm very convinced they just wanted more money from me because I def could've completed it with two. The website said 8 people could fit in the room, but I don't believe that. It was EXTREMELY cramped and we were stepping on eachother the whole time (with a group of 5 adults). And, despite insisting I bring alot of people, the first clue was in the dark and there was ONLY ONE FLASHLIGHT. We weren't told there was going to be only one flashlight so I wasted a lot of time looking for another one, because I have never been in an escape room where there were less flashlights than people. It was extremely inconvenient. We spent the first 15 minutes passing back and forth a light.

In this room you start off handcuffed, but our game master put some of them on upside down which was very uncomfortable and made it harder than normal to do the room. The real kicker is that our game master, who was the manager, told us WRONG information. He very specifically described what the keys to the handcuffs looked like, and he also said key(S). He said the handcuff keys would be black and a certain length. "They" were silver, tiny, and there was just one. It was also weird that the room was set up so that getting the handcuffs off was the second thing you would unlock, instead of the first.

The reason that I was told we can't do the room with only two people was because we would need to go back and forth alot. You would think if they knew that we would be traversing back and forth with our HANDS BOUND then the tunnel between rooms would be easy to crawl through in Cuffs. They were not. Nor were they padded at all. It was extremely uncomfortable to crawl through, not to mention no where in the online booking was it said we'd be crawling through a hole. I am very glad I didn't invite anyone that would have an issue with it not being handicap accessible.

I also couldn't understand our second game master at all. She didn't wait until everyone was out to start talking so I missed what she said. Then, when I did get to hear her, she mumbled the entire time and I could barely...

A colossal waste of money. The room was tiny, dirty, and poorly lit. The space was way too small for 6 people. There were only a few puzzles (4 or 5) and they were all obviously handmade, except for one. The instructions and hints were printed on unevenly cut printer paper that was roughly laminated over. It was likely done when dinosaurs roamed the earth -- the scraps that remained were gross, sticky and peeling. Everything was peeling. The buttons on the wall were peeling, and one had been clearly ripped off and hot-glued back on. There were labels saying "DON'T TOUCH" all over the place, and our host told us we weren't allowed to take anything off the walls, or look behind any frames. In fact, with all the restrictions in place, it was trivially clear which items were clues and which weren't. I really would have liked to see more decor. There were only a dozen or so objects in the room.

The puzzles themselves varied between extremely easy and extremely arbitrary. Most resulted in tediously inputting different combinations of the oh-so-obvious numbers-of-interest into the locks. We were done ~35 minutes after the instructions were completed.

I don't understand how so many people gave this 5 stars. Perhaps the other rooms are better, but "The Cure" certainly isn't worth it. If, in the future, I find myself craving simple puzzles in a musty concrete cubicle, I'll save myself the $150 and just bring my Sudoku into the Walmart...

This experience overall was a three star. I am going to be honest even though I am unhappy and want to be ugly. The truth is the room was really good and we had a great time escaping. We did Licastro's Lair. It was really fun and my family loved it. Now for the negative part that made me want to give a 1 star. When we called to book we explained that we had coupons that stated "valid for one person per visit". There were eight of us over three families. We had three coupons. Of course, they would only let us use one. Again, we were using the same room but three separate families. It felt company focused rather than customer focused. We did it anyway and everything was fine. We then get home and realize that the card that held the room was charged for every single ticket, at full price, even though we did use one coupon and 4 people paid separately while we were there. Therefore, we were overcharged by $135.00. Finally, when we were finished she brought us in the room and took our picture and walked out of the room. We all looked at each other like "is that it". She didn't say thank you, goodbye or anything. Literally took our picture and said it would be on the website if we want to see it and walked out of the room. So the truth is, the customer service is poor but the room...
