My husband and I went to the one on South Campbell with our employees, speaking highly of it (we always go to the one on South national and love it) it was the first time going to this one but figured it would be the same as the other nice and friendly staff, quick with everything seating, taking order, get us our drinks and food everything. But this was not the case all four of us walk in and stand there for a good 3-4 minutes not a single employee insight. Finally get seated takes the waitress about 5 minutes to come back to the table to get our drink order ( she sat us and then left) so we finally get our drinks say we need a minute because the other two with had no idea what they wanted still it being their first time to eating at either restaurant. Get our order taken wait 15 minutes for our food mind you it's not busy and the other location we get our food within 5 minutes and we ordered the same thing as always only twice as much, 2 got chicken tacos other 2 got chicken enchiladas. Drinks go empty and the waitress or any employee for that matter, disappear, finally waitress comes by and fills up 3 drinks takes the last one and leaves it in the back and disappears, 5 minutes later and she brings it back. Then we notice one of the employees giving us girls dirty looks as he walks by, at least 2 or 3 times. We also notice people at the register waiting to pay, they stood up their for 7 minutes! Before anyone noticed them. So what should have been a 30 minute meal ended up taking about an hour and 15 minutes, luckily we only had to wait 3 minutes to pay. The food was great though, we are just gonna stick to the one on South national from now on, wait time was way too long...
Read moreMediocre at best. Ordered street tacos. The meat was hard to chew. Probably overcooked initially, and reheated for not long enough when I placed my order. Chips were burnt, with the same color and texture of graham crackers. Salsa provided was bland, like it came from a jar instead of made in house. Since there was none offered, I had to ask for some spicy street taco salsa. The waiter looked at me like I was crazy. A few minutes later he shows up with a bowl of something that looked like the house salsa, but it was now upgraded to "mild" from original house bland. No picante bottles on the table to spice it up, either. The plate didn't come with a guacamole salad, just a scoop of guacamole next to a scoop of pico. No lettuce, no sour cream. He didn't ask if I needed a refill, just brought me the check. No music playing, either. Just the football game on for the zero people sitting at the bar watching. It wasn't the worst experience I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant, but it's not far up from that. I gave it 2/5 because I was sat quickly, my order was taken quickly, the food came out quickly, the place looked clean enough, and the food, albeit bland and far from tasty, was at least edible. If there's another...
Read moreFood is always good, don’t get me wrong. On this night on Christmas Eve, the service was horrible. Did not clarify my drink choice and THEY chose to send me something that cost more. Waiter made a huge mess on our table and never came back to clean it up. Waiter observed us from the bar area needing service, but never came to help us. Waiter did not check on us for refills the entire time or ask how things were. He checked on all his regulars tables. Waiter ignored my wife when he looked right at our table (which angered me so much) and he took a phone call right in front of us, rather than serve us. Waiter (after his call) looked right at us, saw we were waiting on boxes/tab and he turned and never acknowledged us. BUT, he was more than happy to serve his obvious regulars and smile and ask how their meals were. After I complained about all this and needing to go boxes, a totally different person gave us our boxes and ticket. We paid. Nothing was said by the alternate server about our concern with their service. She just...
