Veridian Events — Attraction in Springfield

Very disappointed. Called last week to set up a tour of the venue, when they answered the phone the lady was a little rude and very short with me. Didn't say her name but still made the appointment. But she failed to say that the business wasn't even open on weekends (day of the tour was last Saturday). We showed up 15 min early (appointment was at 10am) my fiance and I waited outside for 30 min and called but no answers. Everything looks nice from afar. Good location, but no parking. Linens available to rent, but expensive and very often stained. Staff working events polite, but overworked and underpaid. Upper management does not return calls and makes unrealistic promises and is lazy overall. We held a corporate dinner at the Veridian recently, and it was one of the best venues we've ever used for an event. The room is gorgeous, the staff is very helpful and professional--they think of everything and are quick to adapt! Their recommended vendors were all excellent as well. I see how it would be ideal for weddings, but don't overlook the Veridian for elegant (yet warm and welcoming)...
