I took my children for smoothies and brownies, something we do every other week. Yesterday the smoothies and frozen coffee ☕ wasn't blended with enough ice and very watery. The last visit was the same. The coffee was delicious that was brewed, and very hot. The weekend prior it wasn't. Mudhouse doesn't have any milk options out such as almond milk or oat milk for coffee in case you're vegetarian or lactose intolerant. They said it's 85 cents for additional milk options for your coffee. During yesterday's visit I requested they punch my card for my last visit because I forgot to ask. The cashier said if I could find my last receipt or bank statement she would honor it and put my missing punch, which is supposed to earn me a free drink after 12 visits. So I returned with my screen shot of my Bank statement. The other two cashiers or workers surrounded her on each side and said we're sorry ma'am she's knew she didn't know she's not allowed to honor that time. I said well I spend between 30 and $40 each time I come here and that's really not fair I'm just trying to earn my way to a free coffee and I just forgot last time. The male and the photograph with the curls said "it's not our problem if you can't remember things Karen" I said I assure you that is not okay to treat me this badly, your burritos are cold inside half the time, you gave us watery drinks, both last visit and this one and your coffee is cold almost every single Sunday evening we come. I said I would like to speak to your manager or you need to call her on the phone because I want a refund, I was told I was not allowed to have a refund. I told them I was going to take a picture of them for my review and I was going to tell everyone how badly they treated us.So they posed for the picture smiling. They tried to call after us when we were leaving an hour later "mam, mam, excuse me mam" It's funny how I went from "Karen" to mam when leaving an hour later. I didn't speak to them any longer and the trio continued laughing at us as we left. I felt like I was in highschool again,I guess that's what happens when you leave children in charge of the business on weekends with no management or supervision.

This place is chill. The ambiance is like a far out oaky pad. I frequent coffee shops often, and I really enjoy this place the couple times I've been. There's groovy music, but it's not distracting or loud. They seem to support the local community. When I went they had children's art featured on one line of wall from a elementary school, and as well plenty of posters for local events and Doings. It has a contemporary 70s feel, and you can either just chill out and fade in your mind to the ambiance with your beverage, or use the WiFi, which is a pretty decent speed. I sat there for quite some time, so you can stay a while. I had their oatmeal, and it was pretty good and quite affordable. I think I'm going to make it a regular stop for me.

Absolutely a must visit when in Springfield, MO !!! Long layout for that old school coffeehouse feel. Music is palatable and lower level for lots of background talking white noise. Plenty of seating for 2, 3, or 4+. Coffee is roasted in-house, and the latte I had was perfect. The food menu is smaller but ample for most appetites including a vegetarian breakfast burrito I had. Homemade donuts and cookies are something I bought that I’ll take home for the family to decide on. Staff was very friendly, prompt, and great at being busy without seeming rushed and / or frustrated. Definitely coming back when in town again!

I’m not one to be quick by any means to write a bad review. In fact I’ve never even written one about a local place.

I’m a Christian and a conservative. I used to support this coffee shop quite frequently. My conscience is clean that I was always nice, had respect, and I often tipped them liberally in kindness. In fact the last time I was there I tipped 4 or 5 dollars while I was buying a drink for a girl I met on the street who was in a broken place and asked me to help.

I knew the Mudhouse was very liberal but I nonetheless supported it because I believe in loving, supporting, and being civil with people I disagree with and being kind to people with different opinions. Unfortunately the Mudhouse, or at least one of their staff, did not feel the same way. I recently posted a video about not liking the mask mandate which drew a large reaction from many people on the left. During this time I received messages that contained some of the most hateful things I have ever read in the English language.

One of the Mudhouse staff during this time commented and mentioned that he worked there and that he was ashamed he ever had to serve me. He then told me to not come back and he called me a moron. This staff member was not even a friend of mine on Facebook, the domain where I keep my options and others are allowed to follow them or unfollow them. These are opinions I never once mentioned to him or any other staff, when I respectfully and kindly went into their coffee shop to support them.

It is saddening that the polarization in our country has even crept its way into what used to be my go to coffee shop. I went in as a friend but I was labeled an enemy because of my conservative opinion which I didn’t even share when I was there. I would have been willing to throw on the mask that I am not a fan of to get another drink, but I am not welcome there because of a Facebook post. I guess this is this day we live in now where there is no more free discussions, civility, or tolerance for those with different opinions, even if they love your coffee, are kind, and have shown you consistent support for nearly a decade. How saddening.

I believe this is a sign of what’s to come in our nation. You will only be welcome if you agree with them, even if you bring money to support them. From now on my money will go to those who are tolerate, even if they are liberals who I...

I came back here for the first time in about two years this past weekend(due to distance preventing me from coming sooner, or I would have!) and it was everything I remember! It smells amazing in there and the employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. Spent about 25$ for two people, which isn’t bad at all for the quality of the food and drinks here. My wrap and frozen coffee were absolutely delicious. We ordered the food for dine in at first, but then realized there were no tables available, so we had to change it to take out after we had ordered and the staff was very understanding and helpful and they got it taken care of. I wish we could have dined in but apparently, Mudhouse attracts a ton of college students who like to sit at the tables while doing homework on their computers. Which is fine of course, it has a great atmosphere for studying I guess. I just noticed that most of them didn’t even have food or a drink next to them so it was a little frustrating having to take my food and drinks away from Mudhouse because there was no room to sit. But this is in no way Mudhouse’s fault. It’s those darn college kids lol. Hopefully on a less busy day I’ll be able to come back and enjoy the atmosphere myself while also enjoying the amazing food and coffee! I highly recommend coming here if you enjoy great food and even better coffee!

I had their Curry Chicken Wrap(like I did 2 years ago because I am obsessed) and the frozen Grasshopper and it was absolutely delicious.

Their smoothies are also REALLY good, I just haven’t had one in a very long time, but I doubt their smoothie quality would change for the worse, since everything else is as good as I remember! Thank you to every employee there, y’all went above and beyond and kept a smile on even though it was pretty...
