A great park stretching alongside the Fox River in St. Charles!. It's large with both wide open spaces and many beautiful mature trees. Visitors enjoy walking a 5/8-mile asphalt path that winds and runs not far from the outer boundary of the park. The path offers benches for sitting and viewing every 50 or 75 yards. There are a youngster's playground and a covered picnic area with tables. Of the parks in the Fox Valley area, Mt. St. Mary's uniquely offers twenty or so sculptures of different styles placed along it's walking path. Created by artists throughout the USA, the sculptures range from a super-sized, realistic snapping turtle in bronze to a variety of highly abstract forms. You'll see French painter Paul Gauguin creating a scene on his "canvas" that shows a beautiful part of the park itself,, and a tall, silvery, abstract, kind-of-treelike sentinel with two long upright arms that sway generously with the...
Read moreI'm looking for my friends so I come to the last place I saw them at. They were forced to cut ties from me by Lazaus House, as in stay in contact & be homeless -0R- cut ties & stay. Would I be a bad influence, I thought Not. Butt who knows. It was all smiles & hugs for portraying a male figure in our kids lives. 0ur kids started to call me dad/daddy in the end tho I preferred my own name. I would read them bed time stories, take them to petsmart to look at cats & dogs to give their mom sometime to recharge. Then at the end of the day I taught them the importance of money. The lil one ALWAYS wanted to drink what I was drinking, water. Her older sister looked at me for guidance, (as a father).
I'm just a man with the title of father with a 16-yr old son.
I am also an Asian American with a Mohawk.
I am a USMarine with...
Read moreSo they have extended the exhibit through October, there’s a huge park playground and great places to take pics, by the memorial and near the river. There’s access and a skate park as well. They have a HUGE slide too FYI it’s sucks to have to climb up and fish out your kid. Lots of space to distance and enjoy nature with less bugs. Stroller and accessible by wheelchair. Dog friendly too. Try and ice cream from Kimmer’s Ice Cream or a treat at Small Cakes near by to make it a day or Francesca’s in the park to make it a date! One less star as it’s hard to park, it’s just confusing I’ll post more, if you’re park hopping there’s another great one down the road as CB well. Read and see all our stuff at...
