Despite Euclid being one of two garages in the same block (Parkview Garage is right off Kingshighway) both garages can fill quickly due to the number of people who visit Barnes Jewish and area Dr offices. Parking spaces can be pretty tight so larger vehicles have less options. The 3rd level of garage is mostly reserved for handicap parking spaces only. If you frequent BJH or Children's Hospital, it is best to purchase a parking pass for $20.00! (Parking pass may be purchased in main lobby of Barnes-Center for Advanced Medicine, or the cafeteria on weekends.) The parking pass is a deal as it allows you to leave either garage up to 5 times, which in most cases can easily pays for itself within 2-3 visits. (If you stay overnight, the cost is around $15.00!) I find it's much easier to leave when I have my parking pass vs. paying with cash or card at kiosk, or even at exit gate. Be sure to keep your entrance ticket stub - it is needed to...
Read moreUnfortunately I have not had great experiences in this garage. I park here for convenience (working at washu) and pay $16 a day, over $300 a month. I have been hit not once, but twice in this garage. First time no damage but I was rear ended because someone didnt want to pay the meter, drove too close behind me and hit me. Then drove off after i moved out of the way (rude). Second time I came back from work and saw i was side-swiped. I reported this, as there was damage, and they told me there was nothing to be done due to terrible camera footage. Why am I paying $16 a day for this parking then? I would rather park on kingshighway! Shame on this garage, I know BJC has enough money for a camera on every spot. Protect your employees, they are the reason you are in business. As someone who knows this area, and parks downtown everyday, you are better off walking some distance or parking...
Read moreI've always been able to find a parking space, although sometimes I have to go all the way to the roof level to find one. If your medical department is not paying for your parking and you're paying for it yourself, then the rates are fairly reasonable.
My only real complaint is the parking spaces are very small. Pickup trucks and other large vehicles are almost never parked within the parking stripes and that messes things up for others. So do be careful how you park and what you park next to, or you may end up with some unwanted dings on your door panels. This is especially true if you park next to big beat-up pickup trucks and old full-size ghetto sedans. Those guys generally don't care if they ding the car next to them. They'll damage someone else's car then...
