Food Review for Touchdown Wings Forest Park
Last week, I visited Touchdown Wings for the first time, excited to try the food. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several concerns regarding hygiene and customer service.
When I arrived, I noticed the cashier handling both utensils and cash without using a napkin or gloves, which was unsettling. However, the more serious issue occurred once I got to work and began eating my meal—I found a piece of hair in my mouth from the chicken. I was completely turned off and immediately called the restaurant to report it.
The young lady who answered the phone was polite and apologetic. She asked for my ticket number (Ticket #50) and said she would take my name and number and put me down for a replacement meal. I appreciated her handling of the situation and expected the issue to be resolved.
However, about two and a half hours later, another associate from Touchdown Wings called and said the first employee had given me incorrect information. She explained that I was supposed to provide a photo of the food with the hair in it. I told her I had already discarded the food at work, as I didn’t anticipate needing to document something so unpleasant.
She told me she would check with her manager, Vicki, and call me back. When she did, I was told that because I didn’t have a picture, they could not replace my meal and would only offer me 10% off. I explained that I was following the instructions given to me by their own staff. I had no reason to believe additional proof would be required after being promised a replacement meal.
As a rule of good customer service, if a staff member already promises a resolution, especially due to something as serious as a hair in the food, the business should honor that commitment—especially when the error was on their end. Reducing the resolution after the fact feels like poor practice and is unacceptable.
I hope management takes this as constructive feedback and ensures their team is better trained in hygiene practices—such as wearing hair nets and gloves—and in consistent, customer-first communication. Preventing incidents like this starts with proper food safety and ends with how you treat your customers when...
Read moreSo they finally touched down in the CWE, was so excited. I tried the honey hot wings fried hard, just a lil sample, and they were winging you hear me. Now the honey wasn’t honeying, but the wings were fried to perfection, so good I had to go back and try the fried rice. Since a I don’t do meat, I ordered plain. On the menu it reads Fried Rice underneath that it says eggs, onions, peas, and carrots then underneath that it goes on to list the different types of fried rice that they make. Why my plain didn’t come with anything but onions so I was forced to order vegetable 3 bucks xtra which the only vegetables was the carrots and the peas, what came with the rice anyway. Manager says that comes with all the other rice except for the plain. Well that’s not how your menu reads it and further more vegetable fried rice has more veggies in it than peas and carrots. Even ordering online it says it comes with peas and carrots because it gives you the option to leave that out, so make it make sense Touchdown. I suggested they change the way the menu reads, but all I got was looked at crazy and questioned about the what different veggies supposed to come in it. So for that I give them a 3star. And after all that, the rice was not ricing! I suggest you put a little more of the flavors you offer in the sauce and change that dam fried rice sign…. Update 3/11 Went back and when I tell you the wings were still winging. Fried to perfection, hard, just the way I like. I don’t mess with the rice, but the wings,...
Read moreUPDATE 7/28/2025 Had uber eats delivery and wings arrived PLAIN instead of LEMON PEPPER. Then the wings are getting overcooked with "scraps" of a wing being counted as ONE full wing. Posting a picture. Eating in is not as good as once was....prominent odor of weed indoors and outside the entryway. Very very disappointed. Going to find another wing place from now on. Been here multiple times and food always on point. Being a native from Buffalo, NY, I know wings! This place is close by, too. Plenty of strip mall parking. Several flavors to choose from so I had flaming hot, medium, and dry lemon pepper. All delicious. Counter staff friendly and helpful. Manager, Vicky, very present and cordial visiting table to table ensuring food was as expected. And that each customer was satisfied. Dine in tables about 4 in number and restaurant clean and inviting. Will visit again and again. Don't miss out on this place. Also, the menu is very broad to include burger, fish, shrimp, etc. in single or combo plates. Crinkle cut fries delivered HOT and tasty. Great...
