I went to the Chase Park Plaza movie theater on 7/28/23 to see Barbie. I parked in the parking garage attached to the hotel/movie theater because it seemed safer and online it said that the movie theater validates parking. I met some friends for dinner at The Preston (restaurant inside the Chase) and we also had a drink at the Chase Club before the movie. Before the movie started I went to the concession counter to get a validation slip for parking. When I went to leave the garage after the movie, the validation slip did not work. It gave me an error saying something about "invalid ticket" and "exceeded maximum use". I'd never used this slip of paper before, as I'd just received it from the concession counter a couple of hours previously. I ended up having to pay a whopping $37 to exit the parking garage. That is absolutely ridiculous. The movie ticket itself was $12, so parking was 3x the cost of the ticket. Plus I'd already gone to the restaurant and the bar so I gave plenty of my money to the establishment we were visiting. I reached out to the movie theater requesting a refund since their validation slip did not work but I still have not heard back. I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the fact that they are advertising parking validation when that clearly is not true. A friend who parked in the same garage that night experienced the same problem with the validation slip and has also been unable to reach someone to...
Read more#Exactly #GoogleReviewer, #RichardWright❗️Nothing has changed since you attended this movie theater 3 months ago. I thought it would be a good idea to watch the movie #TILL at a movie theater located in a building that was around during the time #EmmettTill was #Lynched. #BadDecision 🙄 Some thing remain the same...
There were approximately 7 workers behind the concession stand! #TristanR allowed this bad customer experience to take place. It appears he's only concerned about making money. He was #Arrogant, #Rude and extremely #Disrespectful❗️
Tristan made sure we knew that he was in charge and didn't give a care about how customers felt. He claimed to be the #Manager of the #ChaseParkPlazaMovieTheater in #StLouis, #Missouri. He lied on a customer and said they jumped the line when they didn't. He also ignored #MovieGoers trying to understand why we had to #Purchase #Tickets at the #ConcessionStand. Individuals that purchased tickets in advance were also made to wait in the same long line to be checked in. This caused us to be late for the start of our movies! The #ClimateAndCulture of this movie theater was #Toxic.🤮 I got a refund and will take my business elsewhere.
People will do what we allow them to do. If they don't respect me, they're not worth my money or time. 🗣#SpeakUpAndOut...
Read moreThis place is weird. If you like "cozy" theaters — meaning tiny ones with less than 50 seats and a pretty small screen — then this place is fine for intimate viewings. If you're looking to see the latest blockbuster in all it's 60-foot glory, than this is not the place to go. The screen quality is fine, it's just really small. Seats are modern and fine. Not super-luxury, but fine.
Next weirdness: If you enter from Lindell Blvd — and the large marquee above the doors gives you the impression this is the main entrance — the theater is nowhere to be found in the empty lobby you'll find yourself in(!). It's actually down a series of narrow corridors, off to the left, basically in another part of the hotel (closer to Kingshighway).
Third weirdness: You purchase your tickets from the food concessions counter. Don't be mystified by the (closed) ticket window in that abandoned lobby you first entered.
The good: I like this place because it's relatively near me and I can go to a late show with only a handful of people in the theater with me (or none at all), thus lessening the chance of run-ins with rude,...
