First, I contacted SSC in March 2020 looking for a pistol. When there were lines out the door at other places, I called SSC, made an appointment, and they got me in within an hour. He administered and approved my Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) and set me up with a quality handgun, a CZ SP-01.

Then he finds ammo for me during a nationwide shortage, maintains fair pricing, and gives me concise and prompt updates as to the status of my purchase/background. It was truly a great experience.

Lastly, Dave is a home dealer, which has some unique benefits. One pro of this is his low overhead cost to operate, and in turn very competitive prices on weapons and ammo. I searched online and at local shops and SSC had everyone beat by $25 to $75. Also, he is located just inside Orange County and if you are buying thousands of dollars worth of gear, you will save more money with the lower sales tax in OC.

Additionally, Dave accepts every form of payment you would usually see at a store, plus Venmo! I also enjoy the flexible hours and the ability to communicate via text. Think about that... if you are an active sportsman, having the ability to communicate with an honest, licensed FFL is incredibly convenient.

SSC also offers a variety of different range classes for first-time beginners to seasoned veterans. They even can cerakote your firearms in whatever color you want. So many services they offer, just give them a call and they will get you going in the right direction.

I took a class with him when I bought my first fire arm over five years ago And since then my collection has grown as has my knowledge all thanks to Dave anytime I wanted to purchase a new fire arm I would ask his opinion first and then shortly there after I would take an instructional class with him on how to perfect the use of that fire arm Today I took yet another class with him and brought along three people that have never shot before and they went from not being able to hit a 2 x 3‘ piece of cardboard to having 2 inch groupings which is just a phenomenal thing to see in such a short period of time Dave has worked his magic again Thanks again shoot SoCal can’t wait until our next day...

Excellent class/facility - good place to come especially if you're a noob or you want a refresher course. The instructors review everything you need to know, including the four universal gun safety rules and 13 more that you should follow. They take their time, they are patient and the facility is well run. The emphasis is on safety and proper procedure. I appreciate that because it's what will make your day enjoyable and everybody goes home without incident. They offer DOJ certification.
