
There is a nice playground, some exercise equipment and several picnic areas (covered tables and benches). Unfortunately those are often full of trash and the one at the eastern end is almost permanently occupied by the same group of people, 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. There are also homeless people sleeping under the trees on the western end during the day, so it's pretty normal to see police vehicles drive through the park. Not sure what they say to the people sleeping under the trees, because they usually don't move at all or are back...
Read moreThis place is huge! Lots of covered sitting areas. I usually see quite a few homeless people lingering around here. None of them have bothered me yet.
The only way to get in is to enter in the street that has the Stanton Civic Center then drive all the way down until you see the police building on the left. You'll see a parking garage on the right but don't go in there. Just continue straight and you'll drive into the park's parking lot. It's a one-way parking lot that exits...
