John's Computer Service — Attraction in Staunton

I'm a network engineer who got stuck out of town with a Mac that needed some help. I called these people, and I have to say from the very start, my call was handled professionally and courteously. I asked to speak to the tech who would be helping me (because I'm particular like that), and sure enough, he called! That alone is a rare event these days. To say I was impressed is an understatement.

His name was Chris(I believe), and he was very quick to drill down to the problem, we spoke about whether they had the tools and everything we need, he had everything ready and lined up, and I can tell you this much: I've got 20+ years experience in the field, and hold a bucket full of certifications - I'm pretty good at picking a smart guy out of a lineup. And this guy was the one! Very professional, very knowledgeable, very confident. This is the kind of guy I want to work with!

The whole experience with John's was just incredible. The only draw back is appointments are about a week out. But, I guess I get that, too - when you're that good, you're in demand. I ended up just rolling my sleeves up and tinkering the problem out, but I consider John's my "go to" when...

I brought my PC into their store to check out about a problem with overheating and a secondary less severe problem with an inability to turn on my PC after moving its location. They said they would call me before doing anything with an estimate. They didn't fix my problem, instead they found it in themselves to; update my drivers, scan for viruses, and uninstall my Norton Antivirus software making it so i have to pay again even with my PIN. This then furthered their incompetence by turning a frivolous sixty dollar bill into and additional forty-five for another year of Norton. I would not recommend their service. If you read this only to be burned by them, that is your choice to not heed an articulate...
