First visit to the tasting room in downtown Staunton, and I really loved the wines that I sampled on the afternoon of July 5th. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with the wine attendant [Jeanie? Genie? Didn't ask the spelling--sorry] who told me about the varietals that were not commonly available in Virginia. I really loved the "Gru-V" Gruner Veltliner I tried, but the bottle I couldn't leave without was the Dry Reisling, an amazing surprise for those who might think that this varietal is just too fruity. Since I was taking Amtrak back home I couldn't buy more, but next trip to Staunton I will make sure there is plenty of room in my trunk to stock up. A really lovely...

I HIGHLY recommend for people who think they don't like white wines. The white ox and the Riesling were soooo good and the port -- I am usually not a port fan either -- but they do it right!
