Shopko Optical - Stevens Point — Attraction in Stevens Point

Stopped in at Shopko optical to see they might be able to help with a contact lens emergency and was immediately greeted with one of the most friendly and wonderful customer service experiences I've ever had. They helped me resolve the emergency quickly and with an extreme level of compassion. They worked with me and my doctor in Tennessee to get what was needed as fast as possible. Wendy, Stacy, and Mary were extremely friendly and accommodating, even when they gave me a stern talking to for not taking care of my eyes and contacts properly. Don't worry, ladies, it won't happen again. I cannot thank or recommend this office more highly. Just make sure to take care of your eyes, or you'll get the sweetest reprimand you've ever had. The staff here legitimately care for the health and well-being of their customers and will go out of their way to make sure they are doing everything in their power to ensure your safety and comfort. The doctor is wonderful and very kind and up until this year I had no problems with this shopko optical. HOWEVER the extremely unprofessional situation that i have experienced recently should probably be looked into. As a company you should not tell someone something they depend on the glasses ordered to see as there practically blind that something will be done in a week or two and when they call two weeks later get met with “it could be atleast three weeks” because of a “manufacturing error”. If you didn’t submit them just say so. I am damn near legally blind and now have to pray I can make it till then due to clear unprofessionalism. February 14 my wife had a 9:30 appointment - informed to arrive at 9:20 -arrivied early. My appointment was 10 am - also arrived early. At around 9:50, we were both called into the Screening room. We were out in a matter of minutes ( both of us mind you). Did not take long and the doctor took both of us in to check our eyes. Between the two of us both exams took around 20 minutes, by 10:15, our "paper work" was being complied. It took longer for the paper work than BOTH eye exams. Plus there was an employe, sitting behind the lady doing our paper work, who was on the phone - other than a few minutes to give paper work to someone who walked in...after which she returned to her phone.
