Overall, the food was decent. The sushi roll was all right. A little more dry than I'd like. My favorite was the soft shell crab appetizer. It was battered well and quite different from other places I've been to. The rest of the food was a average. The online menus aren't accurate. And even the menus on their restaurant webpage is wrong. They don't have everything there like Pho or Lobster options. Service was good once we were seated. I had a similar experience like others have pointed out. Lack of service. Awkwardly standing there while the host just looks at us. A bit of professionalism goes a long way. We were told they weren't doing hibachi the rest of the night. Sure enough, other people showed up and got hibachi. 🤷. Not sure what that was about. Our waiter was very nice. He served us well and checked back on us, despite being busy. The atmosphere was good. Apparently, they had renovations done and it shows. The place was pleasant and well decorated. I wouldn't go back here again. Average food and below average service. Gave it a try only because I was in the area.

Highly recommend NOT going here! I ordered the volcano roll to go and this is what I got nearly $13...6 very small pieces with no scallops or tuna on them. There was only salmon, cream cheese, and the chef's special sauce on it. Once I realized that there was no scallops or tuna on the roll, I went back in the restaurant to ask if there was a mix up in my order. The woman at the front told me that the menu online is out of date so there is not supposed to be tuna on the roll. Fair enough, so then I continued to ask where the scallops are. She then took the roll back to the chef to add scallops on it. When I got the roll back it was soaked in the chef's special sauce and I couldn't even tell if the chef had put scallops on. There was 1 piece gone as well. So, here I am with 5 rolls now...I ate 2 of the rolls and the chef's sauce was very over powering and I couldn't taste the salmon in the roll either. If you are looking for good sushi go to Matsu Ya in Stevens Point!

I had a great experience at Tokyo Steak House! I started with a glass of plum wine—smooth, sweet, and absolutely delicious. For sushi, I tried the Christmas Roll. It was on the milder side in terms of flavor, but sometimes a basic roll really hits the spot, and I enjoyed it for that reason. The real standout was the Red Rose Roll—packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I also tried one of their grilled rolls, which I’d definitely recommend for anyone new to sushi. It’s warm, approachable, and a perfect introduction to the world of rolls. One thing to note—their spicy mayo is actually spicy, which I loved. A little kick goes a long way! Overall, a solid dining experience with something for everyone, whether you’re a sushi lover or just getting started.

Would never go again. I will say that we went for the hibachi. The chef was great and the food was fine but the restaurant is quite dirty. The salads had a pool of water in the bottom of every bowl and some of the food lacked flavor. The reason I won't be back though is because there are two members on staff that shouldn't be in the service industry. A tall man with shaved/bald head and a cranky women in her early 60s I'd say. The two of them should work in the back or in the office away from the public. Additionally, if you're paying with card, ask if the card reader is working properly. Myself and another guest had to walk to the gas station to get cash to pay for the overpriced meals. Not only is that an inconvenience but it also costs me $6 to use an ATM outside of my banking institution. I did mention that and asked if that would be subtracted from my bill but before I could get the entire sentence out the cranky womtwas already screeching the word no. I wasn't even talking to her. I was talking to the very polite and professional younger woman at the counter. All in all.... Food was fine / just ok but restaurant was dirty and a couple employees really ruined the entire experience with their...

Used to love going here. Has gone downhill considerably since last visit. Held off a week to write a review. Ordered food for take-out. Tempura shrimp and vegetables, some sushi and crab Rangoon. Premises was dirty, noisy and generally not well kept upon arrival. Could barely hear person at front desk because of booming vibration of some sort. So, smokey inside, it burned your eyes.. Waited outside most of time because of noise of "fans"/choking. When order came, felt very light for what I ordered. Opened bag. Part of order was missing. Woman put rest in. Asked for Chinese mustard and sweet sour for crab Rangoon. Was told "they don't have any". Arriving home, COMPLETELY disappointed with tempura! 3 green beans, a piece of broccoli, 3 slices of zucchini, 1 mushroom. Vegetables were "Tempura", but completely tasteless. 4 "skinny", "sushi" shrimp (about the size of your pinkie around, like a worm), NOT REAL SHRIMP, NOT TEMPURA, breaded, OUT OF A BOX! Wrong sauce for sushi in the box. Sushi was less than grocery store next door. Totally disappointed. WAY too much $ for what is was. Submitted complaint to website. Didn't even receive a response. Sorry, you've...

The dingy "Help Wanted' sign on the front door was a perfect summation of this place - it needs help. We decided to try their buffet on a Saturday afternoon and ended up deeply regretting our decision. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated and, when we were, it was on a seat that was shoddily patched with duct tape that itself was worn and falling apart. We waited another 30 minutes to receive our drinks and to finally get verbal permission to begin dishing up from the anaemic selection on the buffet. Out of the 10 dish choices, 3 were empty and weren't restocked for the entirety of our visit. As we picked at our dry and crunchy rice that was one of the few buffet choices remaining, a private party was being entertained with a private grill and freshly cooked steak. The party seemed to be having such a great time which contrasted immensely with the majority of us that were hovering over the buffet like vultures, waiting for anything to get refilled while picking at the remains. The staff that were present were nice and agreeable, but there weren't nearly enough people to keep anyone satisfied. Tokyo Steakhouse is...
